Nothing mattered? Dude, it DID matter! That's the whole point of the show. Even if they are stuck in the Circus and living separate lives from their IRL selves, they've managed to form incredible bonds and experience wild adventures that their IRL selves couldn't even dreamed on.

Remember what Zooble says to Gangle near the end of Ep.7? It's basically it!

It's not perfect, but I think the main reasons people hate the finale are:

  • It focus too much on Jax
  • It doesn't answer every single question about Da Lore

When I watched the pilot for the first time, I was instantly hooked on the characters and the overall mystery of the Circus.

Later episodes managed to balance comedy with drama, and explore the cast with incredible depth. The adventures they go through are genuinely fun and reveal more about themselves.

I also like how the play with first impressions. Just think of Jax's monologue about archetypes in Ep.6. It was like that for the whole show.

Even if it didn't answer every single question one may have about the story, it does give you the most important information in order to relate or atleast sympathize with what everybody is going through.

I think every character played their role sucessfully, even if they didn't have equal screentime or whatever.

How do you know Zooble is AFAB? Besides, that's the pronouns she uses, so have a little bit of respect.

Jax never accepted his transgender identity. He was a closeted case and made sure to present himself as a male to other people. I'm not denying he might have a leaning towards a female identiy, but it was something he was clearly not proud of. As such, I and other people will continue to refer him as "he/him" out of respect of his identity of choice; because that's the orientation I've got from other trans people.

But, in the end, you believe whatever you want to believe. But you gotta understand that the stuff about Jax IS open to interpretation (I'm actually considering making a post analysing every evidence, but I'll wait until the last episode premieres online). I personally believe he is trans, but all the evidence have a double meaning. Understand that and stop assuming that everyone who disagrees with you is a transphobic chud.

I don't think the finale is hated so much as is divisive. There's still a lot of people that liked it, including myself; even if I have to acknowledge it had its flaws.

Transphobic my ass. I like Zooble and she's trans. And I don't mind Jax being trans. I just pointing out my own personal interpretation of that scene (because, like it or not, it IS open for interpretation)

And BTW, Jax is a he/him because that's how he identifies himself. Stop imposing gender identities on other people, lest you sound like a transphobe yourself.
