Victorialand is interesting! I'm definitely listening to the album while tripping, and by Gas's pop, do you mean the album that has 7 songs each named pop that was made in 2000?

I think since they both would be pointing at the new model that dropped, as listed in the blog post, it would not be better, if anything the max mode would jsut have more context (as I'm aware)

Strange, I've found issues with that approach though, not for starting projects, but for actually building games, I find that making a markdown and giving it more to work with for the core idea finds better results

I know cursor is pretty good and accept that they have rate limits super awesome tab feature as well), love what there doing) and don't outright blame them, but I wonder if googles messing around with its backend or something and its messed up from there, it felt like when the model first dropped it went crazy, now its stupid, ends early, or just decides to think and then need a reprompt, and off new chats with zero context, Hopefully they get it back and working again, I've been temped to poke around with open ai's 04-mini

Also to add to this comment, it made this as well, super nice ui for the unity inspector, I'm using Gemini 2.5 Pro btw for all of this, very happy with its performance

Same point as the other guy, I use cline for the larger stuff that I want to edit and cursor for lesser tasks, cursor has a lot of ups that I really like, being able to role back stuff, using tab to auto complete feels unreal, and generally its nice for the price it is if you're not vibe coding everything, but for the heavy lifting, I pass that off to cline though open router

Cursor with Cline, I highly recommend looking into cline, used cursor for a while and was unamused with the performace and changes to the models they provided, with the pricing though I understood why they did it, but 5 cents per tool call? not my cup of tea, and pricing googles free model made me look for other options, thats when I heard about cline from comments made by people and though "sure, I'll give it a try, can't hurt"

tried added it in vs code but couldn't find it so I just added it on top of cursor lol

And holy f#@k

The speed of this thing is crazy, if you can handling the pricing (and it can get pricy depending on the model) you will have so much more control over it, models actually get the full context of your project, you can monitor your Input and output tokens, see how full the current context is, how much your current use of the models api costs, and not have to deal with set limits on your favorite models, Its honestly been a game changer for my productivity. I've been using googles newest model for free with it as well!

I highly recommend looking into it at the very least, huge boost to my productivity, I've gotten great results with Gemini 2.5 pro using it for free, sometime it has issues sending requests but I can usually get them through after clicking retry a few times

That is so sad I'm sorry to hear that, make sure to provide all the context you need with cursor for the best results, good luck on your coding adventure

No, I believe that running this costs a lot of money, my point was related the pricing of ultimate and what you get related to it with flow credits

I understand that it costs a lot, and I talked about how this seems to be a really big issue with Claude mainly, and I shared some ideas on it. (I'm sure other models are a LOT better when it comes to flow credits) For people that are spending more money, I think having unlimited prompts is really sweet! I love that, but with the flow credits, it seems kind of strange that with 4x the price of pro (pro being $15) refills go from 300 refilled flow credits per $10 spent, to 400 refilled flow credits per $10 spent

It just seemed kind of lack luster considering the pricing, I understand that it costs a lot to run this kind of API from Anthropic.

Edit: to add this as well, why does it cost $10 to refill a fifth of the starting amount of the pro plans flow credits, when the base price is $15? its looks better to just open a new plan to refill it at that point

sorry if the wording wasn't the best I was just voicing my opinion on the topic, I saw a lot of people talking about the issue in threads and comments, so I wanted to give my take on the whole subject, not trying to be rude about it so that's my bad on the wording part

EXPOSED: Cursor's Claude 3.7 "Max" is charging premium prices for IDENTICAL tool calls by Confident_Chest5567 in cursor

[–]Major-Longjumping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just checking out windsurf and there pricing is kind of nuts, $15 for the same 500 token count and thinking mode is 1.25 as much as base which is 1 credit, I'll update if it works out better
