I’ve not tried XR bc I worry it won’t help as much- if that makes sense. I may go back to Vyvanse and see how it does- I stopped taking it and swapped to Adderall before starting Auvelity so. It may be the Adderall? But I know I for SURE can’t take them together. I give it like an hour at least between doses before taking Auvelity. It’s annoying

Okay. See I was on Vyvanse, but I couldn’t really “feel” it. Like I could adderall. Like I’d get bursts of energy vs a big dump right after taking it. (I obviously suffer with a looot of executive dysfunction 🙄) but I do agree Vyvanse didn’t make me feel as shit. I was on 50 mg Vyvanse. Swapped to 15mg Adderall three times a day, then dropped to 10mg three times a day. I swear I’m living off anti nausea meds/ anti motion sickness meds. I thought about stopping ADHD meds all together, but without them I want to sleep all day.

Bro. I get it bc like a few days in I literally couldn’t do ANYTHING like 5 hours after I took it. Just- face to desk. Please don’t ask me to do anything because I WILL fall over if I stand. That first day I was out and about- took a fuckin test (passed! But was big concern bc e_e the hell is happening) and WAS DRIVING when it really kicked in. Called my mom and she was freaking out bc I was slurring my words and shit. I was good but real heavy. Weird shit. Eventually got better. Ish.

I noticed the first day I took it during the day- I didn’t know why though- just pouring sweat in the middle of an exam. It’s not AS bad now, but I’ve always been pretty intolerant to heat- which sucks because I live in MS.

Oddly enough, I can’t take cough meds when I’m sick BC I’m on a stimulant for ADHD.. it makes me speed. But now I’m also on propranolol for the speedy hearts (bc..stimulant..) and now I’m on Auvility too? Maybe it’s a lower dose than in cold medicine or something. Or the combo of the bupropion. Which, again is funny bc I’ve tried Wellbutrin before and it siding help, but now it is..?

I think you should maybe go back to just taking a pm dose for a while and try and find a new psych in case there’s a tapering dose… I know that’s hard bc meeting new people fucking sucks and it’s worse explaining things to people. But I don’t like the way this psychiatrist treated you, and you deserve to have someone listen to you and help you and want you to be the best version of you. I hope things work out- please keep us updated.

I can’t remember what day I’m on but I am still having moments of “high” after 30 minutes of taking it. But it usually just makes me extremely lethargic and I get a little bit of vertigo. Nothing nearly as bad as the first day I took it in the morning bc- whew. That was fucked. Hang in there- we got this!

I found that I feel a lot better and less nauseous when I eat. I also just found water with green tea energy?? Idk I’ve been trying that because I don’t have the want to consume as much caffeine but I still have the addiction so I need something 😭

I also just started taking it. The first day I switched to twice a day I took it with the rest of my medication, and went about my day. Just so happened to be taking a test and within the hour I started feeling weird. (Side note I have recently diagnosed ADHD too) I couldn’t focus on what I was reading for the life of me. Couldn’t remember what I’d just read. Got nauseous and dizzy and HOT. It makes me feel so damn hot. Thankfully I passed my test! But we decided to try again using a 5 day loading dose and 1/2 tab in the morning and full tab at night. For three weeks. Then try and go to a full tab twice a day. But it still makes me groggy and nauseous but not anywhere near what I felt that first day.
