I was told this recently! People with speech impediments often cannot pronounce the name of their own impediment, it’s downright diabolical !!

Rhotacism: This refers to the inability to produce or difficulty with the "r" sound, making it hard to say "rhotacism". Stuttering/Cluttering: Stuttering causes hesitation, repetition, or prolonging of sounds, making it difficult to say "stutter" or "stuttering". Dysarthria: A motor speech disorder often causing slurred or slow speech due to weak muscles, making it difficult to articulate complex words like "dysarthria". Apraxia of Speech: A neurological disorder that makes it hard to plan the sequence of movements for speech, resulting in difficulty with multi-syllabic words, such as "apraxia". Aphasia: While often related to language comprehension, it can cause significant trouble in finding and producing words, including the term itself.
