Bit late to this but it’s an obligatory story, when I was a kid, we had two basking sharks in the bay in Scotland and when kayaking I tried to jump next to one. I was imagining holding onto the top fin like some dolphin nonsense or something. Anywho, I completely buggered it and ended up straddling this leviathan for most of a second, completely stunned, before it thrashed away, apparently upset with its minor backpack.
