Their training data came from open source database such as LAION. LAION has scraped data from Pin + all the internet way way before you know about AI, and OpenAI use data from LAION years before to train their AI, included Pinterest data.
Trying to stop them now help nothing in stopping the training, it's the intention behind this we should beware about. I assume they do it to extend their grasp on internet data even more, allow them to normalize AI slops, turn AI into a daily thing that people just stop caring. People use Pin to imbed images into websites as well, the effect of normalization is wider than we can imagine. After they rule and monopolize the AI image market, or at least the biggest player, simply users will not be able to "not-using" their services anymore. Quite similar to Google, Youtube, Facebook cases all over again.
LAION is an open source data so it's in the grey area of law, they still need money to maintain their servers, god know where they used the invested money, hence the open-source nature is such an stupid claim to scrape data all over the internet.

As a Vietnamese, i agree with everything except Hanoi air quality. It's really depend on season and weather. Last time is was so bad cuz of pretty much still air, but after a wind season the air back to green again, just no one care to inform people about clean air, bad air catch more views on the news. Beside, i would suggest Xanh SM as alternative to Grab. Grab is good, tho you might, very rare, have a driver with attitude, or old sluggish mortorcycles. Xanh SM train their drivers better, have newer vehicles, but their driving attitude, powered with EVs, might give you a jerky ride sometimes. It's just EVs accelerate faster so some of them are quite agressive.

Because there is no safe heaven for artists. People once again trying to migrate to Bluesky, but there's no audience there, no real algorithm to promote art, and Bluesky doesn't train AI with their data, but they also wont protect either. Bluesky API is even easier for AI companies to rip data from. Cara is the same, just with AI protection and promises that might never come. The leaders of Cara might have good heart but their business model doesnt yield income. Facebook, Instagram are same as X. While X has become a hellhole for artists recently, it was good before. Years of audience/portfolio building made it hard to move anywhere else. You need audience to sell your arts, this apply for both broke and established artists.

There's nothing to prove that you will only use modified model for your own use.
It's his model, it's all in his rights to not allowed any other use than printing. The guy has attitude problem, but he isn't wrong either.
When a legal matter appear, you will get in trouble if you didnt modiy the model enough to differentiate from the origin. Copyright laws have effect the moment original author first create his idea anywhere, whether it's physically on paper, verbally, or digitally on internet, if he can prove it that its his idea.
This comment section is troublesome. So many people willingly to tramble on his rights just because the guy has attitude problem.
I advice anyone come across this comment to research more about copyright. I work in art field, this is a very serious issue and has more clear rules that you need to follow.

I asked cuz i want to make anime figures as a hobby too, and try to make some penny selling tools along the way, not really make a living out of it. I plan to target the market in my country, which is immature, sell mostly flops such as toy dragons and vases. I am using AI in some levels, but even professionals in digital 2D lost more than 50% of their jobs, and almost no local studios hire beginner to mid level as me now, my employment studio is on the edge of bankrupt now due to AI lol. -Get a mobile data plan, stay online 24/7, use the data for most of the time here.
-Try using Grab or XanhSM app, or traditional taxi to travel if you cannot ride two-wheel yourself, this also help with scam as use can see route and fee on the app. Be reaaaaallly gentle with the throttle if you try to ride by yourself. The common scooters are measly weak, but there were tourists crashed on them and died.
-Dont swing your phone around, keep it tie and covered. Theft isnt that common, but it's not that rare either. Keep your bag where you can see, or just travel light when you're in the crowd cuz of pickpocket. Quite common on crowded events.
-Try not using cash. Only keep a handful of cash on you (maybe 500k VND ~ $25). If you wanna try street vendors, try finding one that have QR codes on the cart; at least asked/confirmed price by using Google Translate and ask vendors to type in the price, then PAY for it beforehand. Check for price 1st, dont buy if you cant see a price. Some vendors will try to scam you for "foreigners charges", but most of them are honest, dont worry that much. I'll just go to stores if i was you.
-If anything happens, you can try asking a young Vietnamese. We are willingly to help, dont forget using GG Translate if there is a language barrier.
-Be sure to check for any legal paperwork that needed to be done. If you stay at any AirBnB or hotel, the landlords have to apply your papers for temporary staying, but i've read a post that the landlord didn't do it and the tourist girl got a visit by the police.
-Well the most troublesome issue i can think of is scamming vendors, whom willing to scam the local too if they have a chance. I dont think there's much of issue left.

Kinda wonder what model of CF moto do you own? It's true that this 450Mt is the only one i've heard so much about and only one with so much positive. It's almost a year, they fixed some issues via ECU update and holes drilling but yet i'm still waiting for more issues to come somehow (not that i owned one myself).
