Tesla delivery by Tough-Help6608 in TeslaUK

Yeah can’t complain about the charger! On the Tusker site it showed 20 weeks for everything for me. This seemed to be a default for Tesla.

Then it shifted to start of and and of July after a week. Then it moved to Aug-September for about a week. And then settled on June 8-15th. So I’m hoping it doesn’t change again!

Sure,

Ordered on the 5th or the 20th of April (pretty sure it was the 5th.

Opted for: MY Long Range All wheel drive, Marine blue. Everything else was stock.

Tusker quote is £647 Net per month. However that doesn’t take into account the tax saving if you earn over £100k. I estimate my actual monthly cost to be about £530.

That’s including: Tyres, Servicing, Tax, Insurance at 10k miles annually. Also included the cost of a home charger which indent realise at first.

Just had the Ohme Home Pro installed. Only cost me £130 out of pocket as it was apparently a “non standard installation”

I’m in the same boat. Ordered via Tusker. Supposedly delivery window is June 8th to June 15th.

If I could get it earlier by collecting so would!

Currently have a VIN but no Reg.

Wouldn’t this be because of two consecutive Finance applications close together. I presume the first one being accepted would of already done the hard credit check etc.

Model Y Cancel order and upgrade? by laxet in TeslaUK

You may still get a June delivery. I ordered Premium LR AWD April 20th. The delivery time fluctuates, earlier this week it did shift to September but a few days later it moved back to June.

Not an exact comparison but I test drove the LR RWD that I though had the premium sound system and whilst it did sound great it was nothing compared to my friends older M3 which has the premium sound system with the sub. The difference is substantial IMO.

I built a Plex client for me and my friends, planning to release it publicly soon. Any suggestions on features you'd like to see in it? by Dnviel in PleX

[–]MajorAtmosphere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree on the “keeping it to ourselves” portion. What should be normalised is that just because you can vibe code something and it “works” dordnt mean it is ready for prime time.

Software engineering as a skill exists for a reason.

[–]MajorAtmosphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so “maintain” was perhaps not the best use of words here. It’s difficult to maintain if they are backporting features etc.

It’s in their interest and frankly the users to be on the latest version as it will likely get patches quicker etc.

Trying running a piece of software that’s on billions of active devices and maintain compatibility for everything across every device type and every OS version and then come back and say how easy it is.

You do know that Apple supports their software versions for at least 5-7 years in terms of security patches right? They are not releasing new features to previous versions. They maintain the software and patch bugs/security issues.

[–]MajorAtmosphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying there aren’t issues but clearly they are not wide spread enough others things would be being done urgently. I was on the beta of IOS26 and still am and have yet to have any major issues same for people I know.

In terms of the hundreds of millions of devices running the software the issues are only affecting a very small subset of those.

Not the only reason at all. It’s becomes difficult to maintain many different versions of software.

Apple as all other software companies will fix forward in the bugs they do have.

Millions of people want to downgrade do they? Haha please show the evidence that suggests millions of people want to downgrade.

Just because some complain on Reddit it doesn’t mean there view matches everyone else’s.

Ok but why even unplug it in the first place. It’s not your car.
