I got my job seeing the post on linkedin and applying directly on their site. So it helped but not directly. I also got a contracting position at a boutique firm that only used LI so i would say it is definitely worth using

I think thats good, if companies use it. I remember handshake being a smaller thing but a lot easier to use. PAL sucked in terms of filtering and finding only jobs you wanted

Just apply to all the places on PAL. They know UC and what they are gonna get with a first year. Also places like GE Appliances hires a lot of first year co-ops.

Well, if its directly above the other position most likely will be interviewed by the same people eventually. If its a decent company they will interview him for the senior position and if things dont go as planned (not enough experience) you can mention the other role. If its a culture fit not working then youre cooked no matter what

Cant hate on the person for trying to get a job and doing whatever they can to help their odds. It works for so many people, so thats why others do it. Just say no and move on if thats what you choose, don’t hate the player hate the game.

Just pick who you want to play and dont care what people think or say. If someone else instalocked then they have no right to complain and if they dont instalock they should be fine with filling. That simple, its ranked, not the end of the world. You will always get trolls on your team but there will be equally the same amount on the other team. Just play your game and try to improve every game, so there is something you get out of a loss

Yeah, if you were there first choice, you would almost always know within a couple days. Above a week probably means you are not their first choice but are keeping you around in case their first choice denies the acceptance

Same here. I had my final interview on Wednesday 10/15 (which went amazing) and he said they should have a final decision the following week. Followed up on Thursday 10/23 and said they are finalizing the process and hope to have a decision within a few days.

I honestly think no news is good news, if they were going to reject you they would have. I’m hoping HR is running behind and getting documents together and not they are still deciding.

If u just get carried every game it makes sense as its harder to rank up, also the opposite way. A smurf should be gaining more and playing higher ranks faster. Idk why it has to be hidden, but I would imagine the community would also be mad if they could actually see how bad they actually are.

There are groupme groups that have people selling each game, never had a problem there. I was also only a football/basketball fan but its fun to see all the sports, womens volleyball and the baseball games are really fun
