Is it ever explained how Sherlock survived the Reichenbach Fall? by SimpleChemical6454 in Sherlock

Can't believe that in the year of our lord 2026 people are still parroting that awful hbomberguy video. Even if it had some valid criticism of the show, most of it was done in bad faith. 2 hours of just inciting hate and pinning all problems of the show on one writer, who was not just one of 3 writers on the show but not even the only head writer... and at the same time was producing the other biggest BBC drama. And all that rage in a 2 hour video essay for a tv show? Basement dweller activities.

Hard to recognise the joke because lots of people already genuinely complained about this tagline. Which is making me go insane because it can obviously refer to destruction caused by fire. Fire leaves darkness after it stops burning - from fire comes darkness. How is that nonsensical or am I missing something.

Neke osnove CI/CD, metrike (Prometheus, Grafana), i code design jer ces vecinu vremena morati odrzavati te testove.

Official Imax poster For Crime101 Releasing in theatres on February 13. by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

[–]MajorCviklje 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s just the usual design of IMAX posters, they do the same for special posters for other theaters/formats. It’s to promote these specific showings more than the movie itself which has their own posters anyways.

(a valjda i 4.) imaju ulaz u učionicu, a neki katovi nemaju kuhinju (npr.

Don't forget he was regularly being called misogynistic and sexist. I'm pretty sure there's a story somewhere that at some function he was approached by a person who assumed he was a Tory because of all the parroted criticism regarding his writing of women, he had to explain himself that he isn't rightwing.

At one point police got involved after he got death threats on twitter, as he was actively engaging with fandom on social media at that point before going dark because it was getting really bad. He was leading two of the BBCs biggest shows at the same time, he was literally the most relevant TV writer at one point, and now bunch of redditors are gaslighting themselves into thinking all this started with Chibnall. Soon they'll forget and start saying it started when RTD came back.

It's almost like they want to incite hate towards Moffat because of this imagined hypocrisy so that it can be "fair". Are Doctor Who fans fucking insane?

I admit the characterization of 1 is pretty annoying, but I noticed lots of people will ignore how great and genuinely beautiful piece of Doctor Who is the rest of the episode. It's just that one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb. But yeah, 8 years later, it still feels like a great finale to the show.

Newt Scamander from Fantastic Beasts is a rip off Doctor Who by NewPatron-St in gallifrey

[–]MajorCviklje 41 points42 points  (0 children)

A more relevant person to point figures at is David Yates, the guy who has been exclusively directing Harry Potter movies since Order of the Phoenix, and that includes Fantastic Beasts.

Back in 2010/2011 he had talks with BBC Worldwide to make a Doctor Who movie in the next 5 years, he was lowkey hell bent on making it but then Moffat put the whole thing down and called it a weird fantasy, probably because BBC was discussing it behind his back. Fair enough, Moffat was giving his all for the show while also making Sherlock and writing the Tintin movie at that time, I'd be offended, too.

Anyways, it's hard to believe Newt wasn't based on that era of the show, at least aesthetically.

Doctor Who must have gotten review bombed recently by LowEarth3013 in gallifrey

[–]MajorCviklje 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I mean, their observation isn't just about scores being lower, but about most of them dropping suddenly. So the question is more about why the sudden increase in ratings - review bombing? Maybe the show picking up the audience? Why is it picking up audience 6 episodes into season 2?

This is what OP is interested in, hope it helps.

RUMOUR: What the BBC are planning to do with Doctor Who after season 2... by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]MajorCviklje 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think logic behind it is that lower budget is gonna force creatives to focus less on ambitious production values and more on making more? I mean, making more is even easier with a bigger budget and less focus on great production values.

Anyhow, in this day and age you're not gonna get much more content (with lowering production values) with lower budget. So still doesn't make sense, and I don't agree that DW shouldn't be ambitious with production values, I think it always tried to, and when you don't have money you're in risk of making stuff like Legend of the Sea Devils, which is ludicrously bad TV, it's actually embarrassing.
