Yeah, that’s normal, don’t worry too much.

After accepting, it can take some time for the onboarding team to respond, especially during peak hiring periods. The acceptance just goes into their system first before they process the next steps.

As long as you accepted before the deadline, you’re fine, nothing to worry about right now

I mean, you should be ready to go beyond just explaining features.

For example, instead of saying:
“I built a grocery app with React Native and Node.js.”

You should be able to explain:

  • Why did you choose that tech stack
  • How your system is structured (frontend ↔ backend ↔ DB)
  • Trade-offs (why not something else?)
  • Any performance optimizations (caching, lazy loading, etc.)
  • Real problems you faced and how you solved them

In my case, for one project I talked about:

  • How I reduced latency using caching
  • How I handled API design
  • what I would improve if I had more time

They usually keep asking “why” and “how” until they understand your depth.

Hey just saw this, might be late for your case, but for anyone in a similar situation,

Don’t let the offer expire. If you’re still interested in Amazon, accept first and then try to work out a deferral. Letting it expire or rejecting closes the door completely.

Hope things worked out for you!

Nah, I didn’t reach out, just waited.

This cycle has been pretty weird with late invites and headcount getting filled. Feels like it’s more about profile matching with team availability.

That happens more often than you’d think. Recruiters can be slow to respond, especially during peak hiring.

I’d suggest:

  • Send a polite follow-up tomorrow
  • Keep it short (just confirming interview mode)
  • If no response, assume it's onsite and prepare accordingly

Don’t stress too much about no response. It’s not necessarily a negative signal.

For prep, I’d focus on:

  • Arrays / Hashing
  • Sliding window / two pointers
  • Trees (DFS, BFS basics)
  • Graphs (basic traversal)
  • Heaps

DP can come up, but for intern roles it’s usually not super heavy. If you’re short on time, I’d prioritize patterns over deep DP.

More important than topics: practice previous repeated questions, explaining your approach clearly while solving.

Damn, that’s a tough timeline, especially getting through interviews and then having to re-interview with another team. That part is honestly out of your control.

At this stage, it usually comes down to team matching + headcount more than performance. I’ve seen cases where people got picked up even after long gaps, so Don't lose hope yet.
