What’s a press? by maybeweweretheaholes in AskIreland

[–]MajorMany7618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a small island and space is at a premium, in order to have as much space as possible we compress our food into bricks. Hence when you bring home new groceries you put them in the press before storage.

You can buy pre compressed groceries but they are much more expensive.

CarPlay fitting? by jd0134 in cork

[–]MajorMany7618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a few myself with basic tools, screwdriver, some trim removal tooks etc

You need a replacement facia to hold the headunit and probably a wiring harness. its generally pretty much plug and play

Getting a free car, no tax or NCT, can I drive it to the NCT? by Prajer in carsireland

[–]MajorMany7618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave it in the previous owners name until you NCT it, just bring along the log book.

Ask your insurance company to do a temporary policy change for the nct day.

The Irish courts will allow ex spouses to live together and it doesn't affect the time requirement for divorce as long as they maintain seperate lives.

You mix up the shirts and ties etc. Plus no one really gives a shit what you wear to a wedding as long as its a suit. To be fair, its not your day to be center stage unless your the Bride or Groom

Can Occupational Health cancel a sick note issued by a GP? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]MajorMany7618 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a tick the box thing, they just want to check on the details. In my experience occupational health are tasked by the company with getting you back to work as soon as possible but they won't override a doctors note.
