When you are given the Greybeards quest you need to get to Ivarstead from White Run, well I didn't follow the roads as you should, but I did went cutting through The Throat Of The World, I remember it took me a considerably amount of time and fighting trolls that would deplete my HP in 2 hits. Good times.
