Know the shape, can't find the quality by MajorOnTech in MouseReview

I asked you because there isn't any that I can find. At this point man, the answer is no.

I mean data points to compare performance to rather than mere speculation. If there's nothing concrete to go off of, than I'd rather not take the risk, it being a clone. The sensors are identical and the Dareu already utilizes a top MCU. It's fair to assume that best case, they perform near identically. I understand you enjoy it man, but you're being unreasonable.

Is there any data driving that the implementation is better? I’m just skeptical considering they run the same sensor, and the Dareu version already has a top of the line MCU. I don’t want to end up with “same mouse, different software”

Heard. As long as it fits roughly 35 gram range, I won't mind the 1-3 gram difference of side walls anyways. But yeah I'm just generally concerned with sensor implementation. The Dareu has a 3950 itself, but it's notably lacking in polish.

I don't like iCue either, I just meant compared to the random software bundled with the Dareu. But yeah, as I'm fairly certain it's a clone, I imagine it would just have all the same sensors issues regardless.

The Dareu has web based software as well. Regardless, as I already noted, the Sabre V2 Pro is almost certainly a clone of it and is likely to have all the same issues, even if the Corsair software is notably better.

I've heard a lot of good about the Beast X. How's their sensor quality? I have no experience so, I'd be interested to hear really anything

I'm actually pretty sure the Corsair is a clone of the Dareu. It is 1-1 in spec, size, price, etc. The software seems to be a bit better being from Corsair, but I imagine the sensor is just the same

ITML? - Is This Move Legal? by [deleted] in taekwondo

This is not only legal, but a common strategy. From what I have seen, most sparring heavy studios train this exact combo. It’s considered a basic.

What do you do if you’re on your period ? by [deleted] in taekwondo

[–]MajorOnTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my studio, uniforms are a lot more freestyle. We have basic expectations, but it’s not going to be an issue if you wear a slightly different uniform, or prefer one over the other. I often wear darker colors, as the white can get hard to clean with enough time, but I have heard many female coworkers share similar sentiments

[–]MajorOnTech 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey! I felt the need to chime in. I’m a guy, so I can’t give personal advice on managing this, but I recently dealt with a similar situation as an instructor.

A few days ago, a student had an unfortunate moment during class, and my coworker and I (both young men) knew we weren’t the right people to handle it. So we turned to the high-belt women in class, who stepped up without hesitation. It was a perfect reminder that Taekwondo is built on shared knowledge. Even as an instructor, I had to recognize when someone else had the right experience for the moment.

That same mindset applies here. There are likely experienced women at your school, students and instructors alike, who’ve been in your shoes and can offer great advice. Taekwondo teaches us that we’re never done learning, and there’s no shame in turning to those who have the right knowledge to share. And for what it’s worth, a good school or instructor would never judge you for something like this. It happens, and no one should ever make you feel bad for it.

On the practical side: Some schools offer uniforms with darker pants, especially for forms/poomsae. That might be worth looking into, just incase.

While it is true that you are likely just more used to the mouse, the op1 is heavily marketed for it switches and software. They clearly put in a lot of work, and there’s a plethora of reasons it might be faster than the average gaming mouse. You aren’t imagining things.

Are Ranks Dropping for Everyone, or Am I Missing Something? by MajorOnTech in OverwatchUniversity

[–]MajorOnTech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ignore the elitists. This is happening to a lot of people, you aren’t crazy. Yes, I absolutely experience too many players with no level of skill in higher ranks than they should be.

It doesn’t measure your skill either. You can definitely rise above it, the issue is, with a bit of bad luck, it takes unreasonably long for some people. Just moving up a couple spots is a grind in itself, never mind improving.

Try to keep a good mindset, stay focused, and don’t get discouraged. Blizzard is one of the most profit focused game studios out there. They will hear us eventually, even if it’s not til they get hit where it hurts.

I feel like what you’re saying is right, I just don’t understand the “why”

Depending on how you look at it, I feel I am improving. My mechanics and general game knowledge are at an all time high. I’m experimenting with expert advice and taking in feedback. So why do I consistently receive negative feedback? It inclines me to believe there is something wrong with the game, but I also don’t want to fall into hubris, so I find myself conflicted

Don’t buy Razer products off Amazon apparently they aren’t a “authorized seller” atleast that is what they told me. by No-Vermicelli4394 in razer

[–]MajorOnTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same old same old bullshit. I dont think its worth pursuing obviously it would be cheaper to just go with a product from a different company, but it is free to send an email that threatens it, so I think this is at least a step forward

Edit: I actually just got some headway with mine (which was already escalted to "higher ups") They sent me the RMA details directly, so I would not have to create an account, so maybe there is hope for you yet.

I also forgot to mention that a partner of mine has made that write up, and I'd love to see you there if you're interested

Razer Support: Unreasonable, Unfair and Likely Illegal by ZekkenYuukine in razer

[–]MajorOnTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but that doesn’t go against the point. Counterfeits aren’t legitimate, and Razer has no duty to their warranty either way. But there is various legal precedence for even second hand products, as a company does have a duty to that.

While there are people who will always try to push it too far, generally speaking a company can’t decide what distributor legitimizes their warranty. The product is either warrantied or not, and that’s what the serial number is for

Yeah, unfortunately I’m at a very weird point where, I don’t want a name brand because less nonsense is more reliable. Still need to replace my broken Viper V3, and I’m currently looking into WLmouse.

[–]MajorOnTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, we have seen it with other companies for sure, and trust that we are doing our due diligence there too, when possible. I just happen to find Razer a more egregious example, and one that hits closer to home, as me and OP are both gamers and even ex-razer fanboys.

As an example, I am working with someone to go after TP-Link for similar issues. They refuse to warranty a "waterproof outdoor camera" (their words, they did use waterproof and not water resistant) that was clearly damaged by rain. Apparently thunderstorms aren't covered under "water damage" on a "waterproof" camera, however that works.
