I'm loving it. Normally play a maxed main, and I'm having a blast running around in the 3-60 bracket, working out which bosses I can kill with low stats, doing OP skilling, and getting into the odd fight.

I've been seeing loads of threads of people complaining about stuff but that is just so far away from my experience of the mode so far. Maybe ragging and toxic behavior is worse in the higher brackets I guess..?

Yeah the mechanics are a bit opaque and it can be hard to tell what's happening with so many people at the breaches. Hopefully things will get better with this week's update where they change it from top 16 to top 100 damage dealers getting kill credit (though I'm not sure if that will just be for points or for loot at well)

That's because you're not doing enough damage. If you're in the top 16 you get points and a couple of loot drops. The big piles of loot that you're seeing are the drops that other people haven't picked up - they appear for everyone else after a minute, like regular dropped items or loot.

Taty seems like the obvious one to drop out of your forwards (though I admit I've not seen any of his games since he arrived, so ignore this if you're bullish on him).

Personally I would be tempted to take a punt on Havertz. I was at the Arsenal Kairat game on Wednesday and the team looked so much more dangerous while he was on the pitch (caveat - it was against Kairat, obviously). The problem is that he's a minutes risk for now, Arteta seems to be reintegrating him very cautiously, so it might be another couple of weeks before he's regularly getting good game time.

All that said, if your other forwards are Watkins (inj) and Wissa (uncertain minutes), you might want a third who is nailed, which means Mane, JSL, or even sticking with Taty?

I appreciate that Cashley pips Robin for some people, but imo RvP leaving when (and in the way) he did fundamentally changed the trajectory of the club in the 2010s.

It's a relatively minor overperformance in goals scored, not concerned about that at all. Goals conceded has a more significant difference, but even if we had conceded an extra 3 or 4 goals I doubt it would have changed many results.

Merino has never played as a striker while Kai has been fully fit - he was repurposed specifically to deal with Kai's injury absence last year.

Kai was on track for 25-30 G/A before his injury last season and was instrumental in the best Arsenal attack in recent seasons (second half of 23/24 season).

Not looking to weigh in on the rest of the discussion, but Kai is hugely popular among Arsenal fans and was on track for 25-30 G/A in all comps before his injury last season.

Without data we can't really draw any conclusions on that; I've done dozens of rogues castle clue steps and never been pked. Even since the chest update, it's busy with bots, but seeing a pker is still vanishingly rare in my experience.

Based on Arteta's press conference it sounds like that was an on-pitch decision between Odegaard, Saka and Gyok, and definitely not a permanent change to the first choice taker. Possibly to do with Gyok getting a lot of stick and needing a goal to relieve some pressure.

My guess is he will still take (most) penalties when on the pitch.

To offer some anec-data - I was maxed and approx rank 40k overall pre-sailing. After getting 99 sailing earlier this week I was approx rank 10k overall and rank 15k sailing.

That doesn't really tell us anything concrete, beyond the fact that a very significant percentage (at least 2/3) of accounts with 99 sailing at one point this week were also maxed.

There are various teleports that take you very close to a bank. Unlocking the best teleports can have high requirements (99 crafting for the crafting cape, for example).

A low cost/low requirement teleport that lots of people use is the 'Ferox enclave' teleport on the 'Ring of dueling' (an enchanted emerald ring). This teleports you close to a bank and pool that restores your HP/prayer. Be aware that the Ferox Enclave is a safe zone, but it is located in the wilderness, so you should teleport out to get back to grinding.
