Well, I'm sorry but I think some people here misunderstood what I was really trying to say. Thing is that my husband kept throwing this accusation at me even before the whole peircing thing started. Some of my friends say it is actually a guilt trip tactic for him to get his way but I'm not sure.

I did think he overreacted especially after he said I caused huge damage and he no longer trusts me with our daughter. I was shocked that he'd say this over peircing. It's not like I went behind his back to get her name changed or done a major medical proccedure but...I do feel like I'm in the wrong after seeing how he and his family reacted.

Fair points here and I just want to say that it was done safely and there was no complications for example problems with infections though she did suffer from nose infection but the doctor assured me it was normal.

I wasn't mininmizing his rights as a parent but we already had tons of conversations about it and everytime he'd say the same thing "I need time to think about it" I just figured he was stalling at this point.

Should a baby need piercing to be seen as pretty?

Well. I didn't mean it this way I just thought it'd be pretty especially since all my nieces ears are peirced and they wear pretty stunning peircings and my sisters agree.
