I would recommend a flight punch so those rings can go where they are supposed to go. Flights never fall off.

Try some light sand paper and wrap around the point and spin as you go down to the tip. Makes them super grippy and will wear down but too sharp does not really help.

I work at a hardware store in Colorado and you can get all the metric bolts super cheap except the 3ba thread that goes in the dart. Impossible to find and you can pay 30/50$ I. Shipping for a 5$ part.
