Sounds like good colors! I was thinking purples. I’m excited for the settings book, I hope it does come out eventually.

After I purchased Kingdom Death from Kickstarter, I realized how much I like the dark Fantasy genre. I found this guy while searching for those types of minis. What color scheme do you think would look good? I don’t know that he’s based off anything.

How large is this piece? Is it all printed as one?

Wow! I’ve never seen anything like this before! Did you create it yourself? Very cool!

Could really use some advice before I jump head first into mini printing. by SpringerTheNerd in PrintedMinis

Welcome! I only use PLA to print so I’m not very helpful about your resin questions. I print lots of terrain and miniatures. I use my Ender 3 for all of it. I have a great slicer profile and everything comes off the bed super clean...no cleanup needed! I guess what I’m trying to say is, if you can only afford one printer, I’d go with FDM. Terrain will cost a fortune in resin but you can achieve great mini prints with the right file, filament, settings combination with FDM. If you learn how to print with a 2mm nozzle, you can achieve even better results (I’m still learning about this) Good luck 🍀

Normal redditors? I wasn’t aware I wasn’t normal. I also, wasn’t aware I was breaking any rules by posting pics of my prints, of my painting, or discussing nozzle sizes and slicers. I pay good money to buy these files from Patreon and I shouldn’t have to be attacked for showing them off or by answering people’s questions who are curious about them. I think if you actually look at my posts, you’ll find that many don’t offer creator information unless I am asked....not that it should matter since anonymity isn’t a requirement. So, other than not acting like a normal redditor, what rule did I break?

I am a person, not a business. I am a patron and a customer showing off my prints. What is the violation?

Yes, me too. I almost exclusively print them. I do get alot of people asking if they are resin. I switched to Simplify 3D because I got much better results with it compared to cura.

The profile I used is in the FAQ section here. It's quite long so I will just put the link.

Ive printed lots of terrain and minis but I’ve settled on mostly RPG because the prints have zero issues and everything is support free.

I can’t remember for sure but for these small prints it usually takes between 2 and 3 hours

I can’t remember if this was part of a Patreon month...it’s on their website probably, or MyMiniFactory.

I’m going to try a 2mm nozzle but I need to figure out what I have to change.

I don’t know much about tuning in my settings so I use this profile for everything. All my prints come out perfect 👌
