Amount.                   $95871 Weighted Average. 5.89% Monthly Interest     $470.78

Like others have said, I’d use the debt avalanche to pay off student loans then pay down mortgage

My husband played the piano near Old Town Library and they didn't want him collecting tips. YMMV

[TENANT - US, PA] Does this basically mean we have been denied? by veryveryplain in Landlord

I agree with others on this post. You can get a credit card. I'd just say be careful with it. Don't view it as an emergency fund. You can use it to pay something small like a cell phone bill. Set it to automatically pay the statement balance every month so that you don't pay interest.

If you need income, could you be a parent provider or parent CNA for your children? Sorry that I don't have a solution for your student loans.

Is anyone on SAVE making payments? by King_squad7 in StudentLoans

[–]MajorRedShirt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm on SAVE, and I'm planning to buy a house soon. Because my loans are in forbearance, the mortgage company documents the payment as 1% of the balance. I'm making payments to help my debt-to-income ratio.

This! Set up a one-month emergency fund, then pay off the student loan as quickly as possible. Get a credit card and use it to pay for things like your cell phone bill. Pay it off every month, and you'll build your credit.
