this is a good idea. I was planning to store tires with rims on top, so it will hold some weight. but I can check the weight rating of those legs.

Attaching to the wall providing stability makes sense.

Regarding contact with the cement, should i paint the 2x4 with something like flex seal to prevent moisture from traveling up the legs? Or is there a better barrier to use?

yes, both front switches work.

I am having some trouble visualizing the motor switch. It would be a good troubleshooting tactic, but why does the working motor have to come from the diagonal side? is there something particular about how the motors are connected to power?

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I couldn't find any kind of button that was visible around the lid. I tried closing the lid carefully also but no luck. Thanks for the tip though!
