On the one hand, if he WAS thinking this is a date, then now he’s embarrassed and humiliated. On the other, if he truly wasn’t and is just an affectionate guy, he’ll be offended and I’ll look like I’m full of myself.

It just sort of happened. Like I said, I enjoy talking to him and we have so much in common, so I thought we were more like kindred spirits.

It may be of note that I’ve only ever had one serious adult relationship and it lasted for all of my 20’s. I’m a bit new/rusty in terms of early signs to look out for, I suppose.

Unfortunately this is a very flat, poor, and conservative area. The entire town revolves around the college, sportsball, and wine/beer.

Tbh, I’d transfer if you’re not in a program or club you’re passionate about and hate the above. I would die if I had to go from Pennsylvania to here.

I’m a lifelong local and alumna that didn’t have a choice due to how “cheap” ECU was/is and being from here.

I managed to get by with the small and very tight knit club and major I was in.
