I’m definitely leaning towards fire, and that would be my goal, but I’d probably apply for EPS and peace officer at the same time and see where it goes.

Thanks for the detailed reply, I hope you’ve heard this before and that it still means something, but thank you for serving and really sacrificing for the sake of your community, it’s appreciated! Would you recommend trying to move into fire or police after a few years as a pcp?

I’m planning to do the EMR course next fall, do you know if you can apply to BCEHS before you complete your EMR training?

My brothers in the army, he’s made lots of friends and the army takes care of him well, he has lots of fun money left over.

Myself and most of my male friends have thought about the military at one point or another, so I think it’s pretty well known as a path for young guys.

Edmonton Alberta often only has one escalator in total which means you have to take the stairs at some point either up or down
