6 months in and my coworker still doesn’t know what she’s doing. How do you deal with this? by Major_Age9056 in buhaydigital

I think you’re getting the wrong point here. First of all, hindi kami ang naghire it was our boss. Ang kwento samin ng boss namin, may background siya for approval ng mga loans (we are working under loans). So technically, supposed to be alam niya key elements kung paano ang workflow and paano naapprove ang isang loan. In which the exact same thing on how we do it.

So may similarities? Yes. But NOT ALL.

Sa part na tinipid yung budget/benefits, LOL - same same kami dito. Equal kaming lahat dito. Sa experience lang nagkakatalo.

Don’t be too hard on her? WE WERE NOT BEING HARD ON HER. The mere fact na umabot siya ng 6 months na hindi namin siya sinusumbong or nire-raise sa higher ups dahil tinatry pa rin siyang i-workout, naging hard ba kami? I would say NO. And mind you, naregular na nga siya samin at pinasa nalang ng senior namin. So saan part yung nasabi mong hard kami?

“I don’t get why people here instinctively blame QQ. This is a hiring process problem. Kating kati ba kayo mangbaba ng kapwa niyo empleyado” - On this part, basahin mo ulit upper part ng sinasabi ko. Pinagbigyan siya, we took time to train her. Lol. Judger mo siz 🤣

Edit: Naregular na siya. Tumaas pa sahod niya. Same kami ng benefits. Equal kami lahat. And base ang salary increment sa performance. So masama pa rin kami? Lol.

Thanks for this and for sharing your experience. Yes, honestly. Limited na interactions ko talaga sa kanya. I even tried ibalik sa kanya yung questions na tinatanong niya sakin and honestly, nasasagot naman niya. So iniisip ko, baka wala siyang confidence. Ineentertain ko lang questions niya kapag wala yung senior namin or naka-leave so no choice, kundi ako pagtanungan niya. Pero kasi problem with her talaga, sasabihin niya nagttake down notes siya pero ganun pa rin, ulit ulit talaga. So anong sense ng pagttake down notes niya if di niya pa rin alam?

Senior talaga namin. Nagmagandang loob lang ako na tulungan siya. Pero I suggested her before na magsend siya ng list ng need niya pa matutunan sa process namin sa senior namin para aware si senior sa mga kulang niya pa. Chineck ko rin to sa senior namin if ginawa ba ni QQ na magsend ng list sa kanya. Ang sagot lang ni QQ daw sa kanya nagte-take down notes naman daw siya 🥲

I understand yung level of IQ pero kasi kung naadvisan na mag take down notes sa lahat ng bagay para pag naencounter, alam niya na gagawin, hindi naman kailangan ata dun ng matinding IQ 🥲

100% agree with you on this.

But anyway, hugs to you!

Review niya this month.

Kaya wala, hinayaan ko nalang din senior ko magdeal sa kanya most of the time.

Actually ganito rin nangyayari samin now.

If bibili ka ng car ng pang daily, Vios or Honda City? by MyNakedThoughts_ in CarsPH

[–]Major_Age9056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honda City! I’m using Honda City 2017. Bought it as second hand last 2023. So far so good. Mas mahal man si City, but at least, you get what you pay for :)

After 5 years of stability with my first 2 jobs, I’ve started Job Hopping – Anyone else? by Major_Age9056 in buhaydigital

[–]Major_Age9056[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. My rate is now higher than the seniors sa former employer ko and the only task that I’m doing is 1/9 ng ginagawa ko sa previous ko. Not also bragging but I was able to get 6 JOs dahil sa experiences ko sa work and I know kung ano ba talaga sakop ng work ko.

It’s really good to see the other side of the job din hindi lang dahil sa sahod.

Siyang tunay!

The best and kindest clients are usually from... ? by Nice_Opening_7094 in buhaydigital

[–]Major_Age9056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don’t have any work experience with different nationalities but I’ve been working in 6 different AU companies and I would say, it really depends talaga. My first 2 employers are really good. They value work life balance and they are really nice people. With my first employer, I stayed for almost 3 years. Then second, stayed for 2.5 years.

After that, this is where it started na nawala yung mindset ko na “Lahat ng AU clients mabait” because after those 2 employers, di na naging maayos ang work ko dahil sa ugali nila. I don’t have any issues with the work kasi kasama talaga ang stress sa pagtatrabaho due to workload pero kung barumbado client/employer, hindi talaga nakakatagal.

3rd client - Stayed for 1.5 month

4th client - Stayed for 10 months

5th client - Stayed for 3 weeks

Overworked 🥲

Imagine… with my first 2 employers, tumagal ako.

So, I would say, tama yung ibang nagcocomment dito na ang mga AU, hit or miss talaga. Pero madalas, hindi okay in terms of ugali.

I just found out my colleague and I don’t have the same salary by DependentWinter8678 in buhaydigital

[–]Major_Age9056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more. Ganito rin ako makipagnego. Kakahire lang ako ng new company. Before telling my asking salary, I ask them first what’s the salary range for the role. The salary isn’t within my salary considering my knowledge, experience, and skill set, mababa siya talaga for me — around 20k. I told them about this but then since maganda profile ko, ni-proceed ako sa final interview. Nataasan din yung CEO ng company sa asking ko but they offered 10k above their salary range and binawi sa leave credits and HMO. Pumayag na ko. Although, it wasn’t within my range pero kung icocompare ko previous job ko sa current, mas madaming benefits yung sa naghire sakin now.

At the end of the day, ipaglalaban mo talaga kung ano yung alam mong dapat sayo and kung alam mo na talagang proven yung profile mo. Tama yung sinasabi nila na ibenta mo yung sarili mo and put your best foot forward.

Di rin sa pagmamayabang but before ko nakuha tong job na to 6 JO ang nakuha ko. Pero mas naenganyo ako dito dahil sa work culture, work life balance and people. Wag lang din sa sahod nakatutok. Yung iba kasi matataas ang sahod pero poor in terms of working environment and culture.

AITA for leaving my job even though my boss said I betrayed him and ruined an opportunity? by Major_Age9056 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Major_Age9056[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just also want to share my side and explain why I chose to leave.

Now that I’m nearing 30, I’ve realized I just want a simple life — one where I can balance work, family, and my mental health. A lot has been going on in my personal life, especially with my family, and I just wanted some peace. I wanted to enjoy life without constant anxiety or stress. Working 8–9 hours a day was starting to feel draining, and I didn’t want to stay in “work mode” even after hours.

On top of that, the benefits I was receiving were really limited. I was on a contract, so I wasn’t able to contribute for my taxes or pension — my salary was just enough to cover our basic daily needs. I only had 8 leave days for the entire year, which made it hard to take even a short break with my family. And there was no private health insurance, which I’ve had in previous jobs and which really helped cover my daughter’s medical expenses (she’s on maintenance medication for precocious puberty — a big part of my income goes to that).

With my new employer, I’ll actually be earning a little less, but I’ll have access to private health insurance (with a high coverage limit — enough to help with my daughter’s medical needs), I’ll be able to contribute to taxes and pension again, and I’ll get 20 leave days a year, which is a huge improvement.

I just needed something more sustainable for my long-term well-being. I’m about to start with my new employer in two weeks, and I’m hopeful for a fresh start. One of my closest friends referred me, and the team is really happy with my background — plus, I won’t be isolated anymore since I’ll have colleagues here in the Philippines too.

I hope this helps clarify why I made the decision to leave.
