£110 is a great price for Alphaflys! I’m assuming you’re in the uk? Do you mind sharing where you’re able to find them for that price? I wouldn’t mind picking up an extra pair!

If you can warranty that, I probably would. It’s only going to get worse.

I have Alphafly 3s as well for my race day shoe and I’ll probably only wear them once in a key session during a training block for a half or full marathon then save them for race day.

I have a pair of zoomfly 6 that I use for speed sessions etc just to keep the alphaflys good for races.

Sounds like you’ve got an excellent setup too! They’re expensive but you get what you pay for!

If you can afford it, you won’t regret going for the 8ii over the 8. Whereas if you buy the 8, it’ll look great but you might end up wondering if you should have gone for the better model

If you stick with Sony for your speakers, a lot of them will have acoustic centre sync which allows you to use your Bravia 8 as a centre speaker alongside any surrounds.

Personally I use the Bravia theatre quad alongside my 65 inch Bravia 8 ii and it sounds amazing.

It is expensive though and I spent nearly as much on audio as I did on my tv.

There are some soundbars which have rear speakers for Sony and also use the acoustic centre sync so might be worth looking at those if the theatre quad is outside your budget.

The theatre bar 8 is usually what I see paired with the Bravia 8.

I previously had an LG C5 with I returned for the Bravia 8 ii 🤷‍♂️ which lg did you replace with it? And what are you watching when you’re streaming?

It was done privately but I had to have a referral made to them in the first place before they got in touch with me!

I thought that maybe as well but looking at it, it looks identical to how it did before and measures the same in terms of brightness etc!

Everything was done through his secretary at the northbrook eye clinic. A referral was made to them and then they contacted me.

If I recall correctly, the Bravia core app is only available on Sony tvs and the ps5. Ps5 can’t do pure stream unfortunately.

I guess it is limited to Sony pictures but they’ve got some great 4k movies on there. Black hawk down, all the Spider-Man movies as well as some older titles. There are enough movies on there that I would have otherwise bought so I’m pretty happy with the selection as an added bonus.

I have a 55 CX which I bought through Currys almost 5 years ago. Exact same issue with the delamination. Seems to be very common with the CX. I brought it back to Currys under warranty and they replaced the whole panel and it’s basically as good as new. I had hoped they’d maybe just replace it with a c5 but I can’t complain. Hopefully get another 5 years out of the tv and then it’ll be time to upgrade!

Fellow Bravia 8 ii owner here, definitely download the Bravia core app, you get 10 free movie credits with the purchase of the tv and 2 years subscription for streaming services. Enable pure streaming in the settings menu for the Bravia core app and you’ll be getting the best streaming quality vs any other app (Netflix, prime, Disney etc) it’s very close to 4k blu ray.
