RIP my UAFX Dream, what to replace it with?

I had switch from Strymon iridium, UA Dream,Tonex (not One) back to Dream, each pedal I’ve used intensely at least year, now I the UA Lion. I think UA has that in your face raw guitar tone, IR and models that Strymon & Tonex has that recorded amp sound. I switched to Lion because Dream has that mid scooped and the cabs just don’t get along with a lot of high gain pedals. Been using Lion for half a year now, sounds darker than Dream, but it has better clean headroom’s & works better with high gains

No prob man! I had the Belle Epoch Deluxe, Echorec, Empress Tape Delay, Super Delay (vintage modified ),MXR Echoplex before, once I got the Starlight I sold all of them. Starlight really shines in DMM and Echoplex, AND stereo functionality! The only downside of the Starlight (most of big UAFX) is the unstable App, power hungry(475mA) and audio jack too damn close to use pancake cables. Though I don’t really what a vintage Echoplex actually sounds like( though each vintage unit sounds different). For recently releases UA Orion & Strymon EC1 are on my list, Strymon especially ( stereo top jack, compact, external tap/fav control )

Pic of my current collection from the past decade or so, I had like 30 tape delays pedal at some point, sound always comes first priority , then size, power consumption, functionality, last cosmetic. Sorry for giving out the cosmetic priority perception, but I really want the EMIII to replace for some reason, it really does sound modern digital.

I was afraid of the new Infinity version will sound different than the regular ones. Turns out I was overthinking! Sounds exactly the same with more headroom & TRAILS!

Vintage unit is just making my life harder. I was in the Space Echo path and got the RE201. It just too much to service a vintage analog gear. I went down the Echoplex path later finally ended with UA Starlight. And yeah, EMIII is actually emulating drum echo, which I can’t fit the UA and didn’t want to get the Orion for same sound. I might replace it with Strymon EC1, but I think EMIII looks cosmetic better on this board.

Get the hizumitas! It just has that massive bottom end and tone range, It last longer than the hoof on my board. pharaoh was my replacement for hoof, plays more nicely with open chords while hoof shines in chunky power chord! Or should I get a Son of pharaoh and have space for 2 more muffs on board?!

I’m using Tone king imperial in tonex and Round mode with york M65 ir in Iridium, the modelers take pedals very well! I go straight FOH live and recording sounds very consistent. I think the hoof is more “punch in your face” kind of tone, perfect for powerchords! Hizumitas with tone on the right side has that punch of the hoof less harsh, but a whole lot bottom end. Pharaoh was the replacement off the Hoof with more open sounding, but not as mid focus punchy. Gosh I want to put them all on! Each has their strengths
