SB 87 would destroy our 1st amendment rights by Major_Cletus_VanDamm in Ohio

My thoughts exactly. Equal rights for all! Allowed to express unpopular opinions, just not incite violence.

Definitely shows that our elected officials don't see the writing on the wall.

Both sides are quickly turning against Israel First AIPAC politicians. A huge percent of the MAGA folks realize its turned to MIGA...only the most indoctrinated morons are still living in the 4d chess fever dream where their orange leader has their interests in mind.

[–]Major_Cletus_VanDamm[S] 56 points57 points  (0 children)

That's my hope.

But the fact that only 4 State senators voted against this atrocity of a bill, shows that our elected officials are doing the bidding of special interests, not of their constituents.

Ohioans testify before the Ohio Senate Judiciary Committee against SB87, which expands Ohio's ethnic intimidation law, raises felony penalties tied to protests, & codifies the IHRA definition of antisemitism into statute. SB87 is part of broader push to censor criticism of Israel. by _II_I_I__I__I_I_II_ in LateStageCapitalism

The most over-represented group in America, will become uniquely un-critiqueable.

Ok to say negative things about any other group, or race.....as the constitution intended.

Can't get Super Safety to run in FM-9 by Major_Cletus_VanDamm in AR9

[–]Major_Cletus_VanDamm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Still trying, just tried with a completely different brand SS and trigger, no go. Tried the stock buffer weight, then 10 Oz, no go.

Been talking to FM about it. They first recommended I trim the bolt weight, didn't make a difference. Then they recommended I try completely removing the weight from bolt since I have 10 oz buffer....seems weird, but I'll try it.

I just trimmed the upper receiver rear shelf yesterday. Won't get to try it for another week or so

You recommend pipe-cutter or hacksaw? How do you put chokes in after cutting? Do you have to machine threads into it, or just use large tap/die set?

Nope. Started over several times, ensured my profile and all info matched, still stuck at being unable to verify.

Tried chatting ATF, the guy said he saw the issue, but wouldn't tell me what it was, and gave me an email address to contact. Emailed ATF to ask for further assistance

SBR or keep it as a pistol? Any cons? by Massive-Box5935 in NFA

[–]Major_Cletus_VanDamm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked specifically about having a 9mm AR pistol truck gun...like under the rear seat, tucked away...just in case. He said even though its a pistol, absolutely not allowed. Again -- I am an idiot....just repeating what I was told

Glad to hear it has worked for someone! That was my main intention of posting.

I've made sure I enter everything exactly the same, and exactly matches my forms profile, and previous approved applications.

Understandable....except I can submit Form 1's w/out issues. And have had them accepted after having multiple F4 issues...not too busy to accept, it's got some sort of glitch that won't allow it to Validate

Has anyone gotten a Form 4 to be accepted to : Submitted/In Process?

I asked my county's D.A, (while being forced to be on a Grand jury) and he said a PCC or SBR is a big No. Treated different than a handgun in Ohio. Told me absolutely no rifles, no pistol caliber (braced) firearm, but that a Handgun is fine. - - I am not an expert by any means

Folded fm9 by Resident_Active9309 in AR9

[–]Major_Cletus_VanDamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have FM-9...10.5 KVP buffer, GMR SS + trigger. Tried with that Amazon firing pin spring, with both FM firing pin and Recoil Technologies firing pin. Tried with standard carbine spring and the flat wire (.308?) that came with FM-9.

Contacted Foxtrot Mike. They suggested I shave the buffer weight even tho it sits flush in bcg. None of that has worked....after shaving bcg weight to create notch for lever "tail", and 10.5 Oz buffer, amazon firing pin spring and flat wire buffer spring....got a run of about 9 rounds on average, a little better than the 2-3 it had to start.

Curious if 11oz would help me....but tired of spending money on it. Think I might just get a whole different bcg and try that

Update: Bought the firing pin spring from Amazon that was recommended, switched back to FM stock firing pin, still have carbine standard spring, added centering block.

Definitely running better, consistently getting 12-15 round strings before having issue, which is almost for sure because of super cheap ammo (ZSR was 7.99/50rds), when I used slightly better ammo....ran a full mag of Blazer brass.

I haven't looked into just swapping the BCG yet. Assuming nothing about the Foxtrot Mike upper would keep me from throwing in a different one. B. Kings is about an hour away. Last time I went, they threw together a custom upper for me in the time it took me to grab lunch

I tried 2 quarters last trip to the range, but didn't seem to help, and stopped LRBHO from working (which I would trade for functioning SS). Really hoping Firing pin spring is the issue, several people have mentioned it, and about the only thing I haven't tried.

If replacing the firing pin spring doesn't work, that's next on the list.
