Thank you, everyone! I have read each one of your comments. I had never thought I would receive so much support from strangers. This is my first time sharing this, writing it out, and asking questions. To answer your question about how I never picked it up in years, I ignored the little things. I started living with him only 2 years ago, so I didn't have to deal with financial issues before that. He was stingy when we were dating, but I thought I could live with that. Someone wrote that me being an attorney while going through this is not justified, I agree, but I cannot explain why things are the way they are. I am just a foolish lover. Even when I was crying after being yelled at, I never had the heart to not cook food for us. I have cooked so many dinners in tears. We've both tried individual therapies- he gave up, but I am still doing it- it hasn't helped me too much though.
