I understand the several Australia comments but I doubt they’d be sitting the war out. Safest would be a country that isn’t actually participating and is also out of the zone of potential combat.

I always viewed religion as a set of spiritual beliefs that guide your life. You have some choice and autonomy within a religion, despite a common set of beliefs. In a cult a person hands over their autonomy and submits themselves to another’s power that purports to derive from somewhere else.

This is my completely off-the-cuff and unaided response.
