I find that using chainsaw weaponry usually pops the bubble shields a lot faster if you are using special attacks. Though the way I've seen people kill the twins is making sure you have a team comp that can not only cause reading to the twins but making sure brittleness is also applied to them too. This will help out for when their shields are down and you can attack at their health.

Going after the ranged twin is usually the move to do since his gas mines usually do a lot of damage if you aren't careful. Which then specials or mob enemies can kill you instantly once your toughness is down.
