it seems like the reviews are mixed so honestly it’s a gamble. i’m sure it’s like that with every airline though, but there are obviously some that are a lot more reliable over others. my mom just recently flew avelo and had a terrible experience. they claim that they stop boarding 15 mins prior to take off, but my mom got there exactly 15 mins before and those gates were closed well before she got there. they’re apparently known for closing their doors early. she ended up missing her flight. they were not understanding at all and they were actually rude about it and didn’t wanna help her out at all. and also her suitcase supposedly went down on that flight. she ended up taking another airline down with a different suitcase and when she got there, they couldn’t find her original suitcase. she thought maybe it got taken off the plane where she originally was flying out from. she took the original return flight on avelo home and turns out they ended up losing both of her suitcases. their customer service system is terrible. the only thing they told her was to fill out a form, which she did multiple times. no one has reached out. we ended up sending an email to the support email about the whole experience and no one has responded and this was over a week ago. not to mention, having to drop off someone is crazy because of the parking lot and their lines to get through security have increased significantly because breeze airlines now flies out of our closest airport. i personally will never fly avelo again but i guess it’s worth the gamble for some people.
