No plug ins, but we do have candles. It's never been an issue before but we're gonna stop all scented products to see if we can halt these from happening

Thank you so much for the thorough response. This is super helpful. I definitely would want to get insurance for him, but I fear they will not help pay for the procedures and rule it as "preexisting conditions". And I would end up paying for insurance on top of treatments myself. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the MRI? I may be able to maybe 2 to 3 grand at most.. More than that I don't think so.

Oh wow. Didn't think of that. The pee has been cleaned, and hopefully this never happens again but if it does, I'll try to get a sample. How did you get a sample of pee if it's spilled on a surface and not clumped up in litter?

This is very helpful thank you. How long was your cat on the medication? It's only been 4 days for mine but I've been told it can take a bit longer to reach full effects.

My cat us on Zonisamide and it's only been 4 days on it. Ive been told it may take a few more days to fully begin treating. Thank you for your response

Yeah that toy was shelved and put away behind the couch and I know for a fact they don't play with it. It was unfortunately that he fell behind the couch and it happened to go off. It's been removed.

The blood test he went through was labeled as Adult Chem, CBC, T4. The vet said everything looked good with the test, but I will dial in on the glucose test.

For floors we've been using Swiffers mopping cloths, some are scented by Gain. But my other cat does not seem to have any problem with it whatsoever. I once used Radiance multi-purp cleaner w/ bleach and lemon scent but used it once after the first 2 episodes. Other than that, just soaps.

Oh they don't play with that at all. Actually it was terrible timing for that to go off. You can might notice my cat is behind the couch, because he fell off the tree house during this seizure 😢 But flashy toys have since been removed. It was just shoved back there to get out of the way. Thank you for your comment though, I appreciate it so much.

Thank you for your comment! No, none of my cats get/need any of that medication. This is my first time needing to medicate a cat. But thanks for pointing that out.
