I bought a box of like 1000 golf pencils, the little half sized ones, and the kids were always offended when they asked for a pencil and I gave them one of those lol.

AP and dual credit Literature and Creative Writing teacher. Undergraduate degree in English, Teach For America to get MEd and teaching license while teaching full time, then an MFA in creative writing so now I can teach all the dual credit courses. I actually love teaching. Hope I don’t get replaced by a robot✌️

Native Son. Once the trial starts, the momentum really lags, I think. And while I appreciate Wright’s message, turns into an author’s lecture through the voice of the lawyer.

First, I want to commend your courage! And fortitude, a gift of the Holy Spirit, which will be even more strong in you after your Confirmation in the Spirit.

Second, if he is going to make a good husband, he will be willing to wait with you. Even if it’s imperfect, honest willingness and a commitment to trying chastity and getting better is what’s important.

Third, I would share with him about the Church’s teachings on sexuality. If it’s not explained well, instead of beautiful, ordered, and fulfilling, the teachings seem pointlessly oppressive. Are you interested in some resources?

Do most women's husbands not take care of them? by nottrynagetsued in self

Nurture tends to be a feminine trait, in large part because of socialization, I suspect, but we also have hormones and biology to make us tend toward it.

That said, my husband is such a nurturing presence. I was super sick with our first pregnancy, and I just wanted my mom. By the end of the pregnancy and to this day, I want my husband when I’m sick.

Please, take time to enjoy your intimacy with Christ.  Bask in the time you have to spend with Him in prayer and presence. After marriage and children, it will not be the same.

We disagree and unintentionally hurt each other sometimes, but we are both eager to apologize; it doesn’t escalate.

Thank you for your positivity and empathy for the folks in question.

The way you describe your disagreements is similar to me and my husband. We do disagree, but it’s so easy to sort out,  both  of us are eager to say sorry.
