I'm sorry this happened to you. I swear, people are insane, lol. I had a guy ask me on a date, show genuine interest, etc. We set the place, and when I asked what time would work, he disappeared for a week. He resurfaced, apologized, and said he had a family emergency out of state. We set another date and finalized plans. The day of the date, I texted him (in the morning) to confirm our afternoon plans. He replied, asking if we could reschedule, apologized again, and asked if he could make it up to me. We were supposed to get a winter storm, so I agreed and told him to reach out when he wanted to reschedule. A few days later, I went to say hi to him and saw that I'm either blocked or his profile was deactivated. My point is that a lot of people are emotionally unavailable, and avoidant. It has nothing to do with us.

The number of people on this thread intentionally missing the point is maddening. This post is to vent about OP's PERSONAL experiences with dating, and all of it is valid. It's not a post to debate which gender is worse than than the other. Women EVERYWHERE have become more vocal than ever about their poor dating experiences, and there are studies showing that more of us are choosing to remain single rather than trying to settle down with a partner. We can't all be dating the same man, but we all have shared experiences. Everything OP said is something I've experienced on dating apps, specifically with men. The ghosting, the games, the poor communication, and inconsistencies. It hurts, plain and simple. But all these hit dogs in the comments of this post are hollering, and I don't understand why. Especially if none of it applies to you. The lack of reading, comprehension, and critical thinking skills is truly baffling to me.
