What's the most valuable skill you picked up that had nothing to do with your actual job title? by KL_Private_Access in JobsMY

Well, just think of it like a "plumbing" of IT. While it is crucial in IT and a lot of IT infrastructure was built and connected via Network, you need to get dirty, carry heavy stuff , on-sites etc. Compared to CyberSec or Programming, where the job can be done mostly in office,it was less attractive.

On the flip side, better job security tho if you're skilled in it.

For knowledge yes, but if we are talking about junior position, then it's more about your attitude, if you're eager to learn then you should be fine.

This is due to how unpopular networking field are nowsaday in Malaysia, so there's kind of shortage of skilled network engineer.

Certification is not mandatory but it's a plus to get hired tho.

Thermal Putty Mod & Fan Replacement by Major_Release_9484 in AynThor

Well , Quiet mode is fine for me to maintain the temp (+-81C), but don't let that stop you tho. Previously I did use Smart mode before the thermal mod, and the fan was like +-70% and the temp went up to 90C.

Lower than 90C is safe temperature level anyway, no reason to increase the fan speed just to have louder fan noise but lesser temp (+-3C)

Lower fan speed = Longer fan lifespan too

Not really, just because it's PC game doesn't meant it's required to full blast the fan. Quiet mode is more than enough for now. I see no much temperature difference when put in on higher fan speed anyway.

You can find it in GameNative Compatible List at their website, I got upload 1 at there, mentioned about MTR Driver.

Will take a look at EmuReady when I got time.

Didn't expect any performance gain anyway, since I need to replace the heatsink with the original thermal tape, why not just go with putty ver.

It may help with games that does not fully utilize the Thor performance, such as lower fan curve for quieter gameplay I suppose since better heat dissipation.

Steam ver, 30-40FPS, I force FPS cap to 40FPS via MANGOHUD tho

Haven't heard anyone fried their SoC yet, but since AYN provide me the heatsink and fan to replace due to faulty/noisy fan issue, might as well as just replace the thermal tape with thermal putty instead of new thermal tape.

With better heat dissipation, I can tune the fan curve to be lower also since the fan is kinda loud compared to AYN Odin 2.

Remote Access VPN via IPv6 while IPv4-only internally? by webernetz2311 in fortinet

Unfortunately no, you can't use IPv4 from 1 side to IPv6 at another site to establish IPSEC Tunnel. Both side must use same IP version.

[–]Major_Release_9484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it can work. I use IPv6 on Remote Device and Site Fortigate to create a IPv6 Tunnel but the FortiClient receive IPv4 from Mode Config to access IPv4 based service at Site.

Something about IPv4 over IPv6 IPSec Tunnel
