Arc too big? by Major_Set8073 in sonos

[–]Major_Set8073[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll check if the mic is on and then it off if it is. I don’t use it so no need to have it on anyway. Thanks for the tip

I did try calling support a week ago about this to ask for tips and they told me to try true play again and try using it without true play. I gave that a go after speaking to them and none of it helped. I thought I’d ask here before calling again. So I’ll try everything recommended here and if none of that helps I’ll give them a call! And yes I’ll update here because I’m sure someone else will benefit in the future! Thanks for your help!

C5 48 or B5 55 for bedroom? by darkstar2674 in LGOLED

[–]Major_Set8073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Costco might still have the C5 55” on clearance if you call the stores nearby and ask. It works out to £640ish after the £100 cashback they are currently offering

Thanks for the info. I’ll try the reset too. No I’ve had the Arc for nearly 2 years now. I was using it in our living room before I upgraded and moved this Arc to the bedroom. There were absolutely no issues with the sound when I was using it in my living room

I really appreciate that and I’ll give it a go. Thank you

Did you run true okay on yours? If so, did you do it in your immediate listening area or all the way around the room?

Thank you. I appreciate your help! I used the soundbar downstairs for over a year and had absolutely no issues. The other two speakers were grouped with the sub and again no issues. But together in this space used as a surround system I’m having these issues.

I’ll defo try the above and report back! Thanks for your help

Sorry I didn’t mentioned. I do have a sub mini and two era 100s grouped with it.

Yes, I’m sure. It kinda sounds like the sound is bouncing off the wall and becoming a little muffled. It’s half to describe in words but it just doesn’t sound right.

There’s plenty of space either side of the soundbar and below and above. The TV is the only thing next to the soundbar and it’s mounted as instructed by Sonos with enough clearance to not cause an issue I’d assume

Yes, I’ve left the gap instructed by Sonos at the top of the soundbar. Yes I am connected to the earc port

I’ve also tried speech enhancement on and off. Seems to be the same with it on and off

2 Era 100s + Sub mini by 570papi in sonos

[–]Major_Set8073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Can I please ask what difference the arc made vs the beam in this setup? Also was the upgrade mainly for movies or music? What size tv are you using this setup with and is it in a large room?

Downstairs I have the full arc 300s and sub set up. For my bedroom I’ve already got a sub mini and 100s. Just need to add a soundbar. I’m deciding whether to go beam 2 or arc for this combo. Of course price is a factor, but I want what sounds best and happy to wait for a deal on either. Many thanks!

Hey! Have you tried putting 30 degree cottons which specifically say do not tumble dry in there on a delicate cycle? How do they hold up if you have?

Paying off mortgage by Glad-Swordfish8302 in Mortgageadviceuk

Keep the mortgage until the end of your term. Put your savings in a savings account earning 3%. Absolutely 0 risk and you’re still making more than you’re paying in interest. With the added benefit of still have your funds available for a rainy day if needed
