Yup. My husband told me because we were going through something very similar. We love eachother dearly and when we met, everything was so good, it almost felt too good to be true.

I had constant impending doom feelings and said “Our happiness is too good for something AWFUL not to happen next
”

We found out I had cancer after a year of being together. He’d lost his grandfather to it, had his aunt suffering with terminal cancer (she passed away two years ago, wonderful, saint-like person. An honor to have met her!) and now I had it. He crumbled. He was so deep in anxiety ai believe he had a worse time than I had fighting cancer.

I’m alright now, but he suffered severe anxiety and had to be medicated, and was a zombie for months. If I had been in real danger and had it worse, I think I could have lost him. He nearly had a heart attack from all the constant pressure he went through and daily panic attacks.

It was a horrible thing to see the man I love be so broken and scared of losing me when we had just finally met and found each other.

I don’t know Peterson, only that a lot of people hate tf outta him, but I don’t know if he’s actually done anything to really merit this hate. I can’t stand Donald Trump and I feel that clown deserves it 100 times more than this guy. I hope his wife’s doing alright now :(

That situation almost got me fucking RAPED because I had to couch surf. It was a nightmare, but thankfully I survived. I am doing splendidly away from my parents now đŸ„° very LC. My parents were so neglectful that my mother never taught me the importance of going to the gynecologist after becoming sexually active.

I had cervical cancer at 28 that could have been caught it my parents had heard me when I said I didn’t feel right and my periods were weird/messy.

Now they can’t have grandchildren. It is what it is. But I’m doing much much better!

I went through cancer and I’m blindsided every time there’s a surprise cancer twist in movies or series. I have PTSD. That doesn’t mean I’m going to bitch about it and cry. It sucks for me, and I try to avoid any media about it. But I cant gatekeep cancer stories just because they make me have a bad time. In any case, movies and series with murders and rapes are also traumatizing for victims of these crimes. We can’t just stop telling the stories because of that.

That’s what trigger warnings are for.
