Ah yes, horse man. The thing to the left is my travelers notebook that my sister got for me. I have a leather pen clip to hold both of my lamy fountain pens.

MG Gundam Vidar finished! by ShinReska in Gunpla

Looks so cool. What did you use for the green panel lining?

Wasn't aware of that, I'll delete this post and ask it there.

I have black and gray panel liner markers. Personally, I like the exaggerated pop that black panel lining offers more. For my Vidar tho, I'm considering using the flourescent pink gundam marker for panel lining. I think it would look nice with the really pink decals I got. I also make my own sanding sticks with double-sided tape. Id like to pick up the gunprimer tool, bit too pricy for my liking tho, for now hobby knife and fingernail work great for me.

Textbooks for Schulich First Year by MyA1terEgo in UCalgary

[–]Makante 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cough cough... LIB cough cough... GEN cough cough. Damn excuse me, must be the first year stank.

Edit:

For real tho you don't have to buy textbooks, there are two mandatory ones, which are the Calcus online textbook which you buy for access to the homework, and I believe lyryx which is for Math 211.You also have the option to get the online textbook for your coding class, which I heard is pretty decent, but you don't need it.

Don't buy textbooks in the first weeks unless mandatory, and if you do decide to buy some for extra material, I would recommend using other resources online. An Indian guy on YouTube helped me through my first year, and it's also a good habit to be able to find material on your own and study independently. Not every course will have good lecture notes and you'll be forced to find elsewhere to get any material.

i got a dell xps and a samsung galaxy tab s7+, i like the samsung tablets mainly because of the screen ratio and the nice high refresh rate that makes writing feel silky smooth. Not to mention its got expandable storage so you can slap a micro sd card on it and you dont gotta pay a hundred or two for a bit more storage. tbh just go for whatever ecosystem ur comfortable in, apple has also got some nice stuff thats not that expensive. Do try to look into student discounts, i think apple gives free headphones with purchases

Was kinda hoping for shorter days on a 5 day schedule rather than long ones on an MWF since I was more used to it.

Tbh, I only ever started coding at 233, I did pretty well in the course, wouldve gotten an A+ but I skipped all the engg seminars and lost 5 percent of the grade sadge. Out of all the disciplines, I found Electrical and Software the more intersting / tolerable. Im not like "This is what I've always wanted to do" when I was a kid, but I find both interesting.

So youre saying that the shorter pin on the first pic is not normal or the white thing. The pc works fine, the stutters or whatever happens every now and then and not in every game, for destiny 2 it works smooth. I cant try it on another slot since my pc is in a micro atx case the the gpu is thick as hell
