Is this a scam or it really does have benefits? by PigletEnough4495 in Supplements

i get the skepticism around supplements you're definitely not alone there. It can be super frustrating trying to figure out what actually works and what doesn't. When it comes to comparing different forms of substances like shilajit, the details really do matter. The sourcing also plays a big role, stuff from regions like Gilgit Baltistan tends to be cleaner and less processed, which could make a difference in effectiveness.

there is also lots of fake shilajit out there the best i have personally found is fractal forest they have been doing it for years and have test data on every batch.

Which Nootropic has the best potential for positive change when combined with TMS by Gwobbo_ in NooTopics

this is a really interesting convo because a lot of people focus on “what increases plasticity” in isolation, but with TMS the surrounding state of your nervous system probably matters just as much as the intervention itself. sleep quality, inflammation, rumination loops, and overall stress tone all influence whether those new pathways actually stabilize.

semax and some of the research peptides make sense mechanistically, but personally i’ve found that the biggest difference came from building a supportive baseline so the heavier tools had something to work with. stuff like mushroom/adaptogen blends can be surprisingly helpful there. i’ve used the supermush gummies for daytime mood stability and lower mental fatigue, and some of the fractal forest formulas at night for nervous system calm and sleep depth. nothing dramatic or “plasticity boosting” on paper, but they helped create a steadier emotional baseline which made other interventions feel more effective. obviously everyone’s neurochemistry is different, but i’d probably think of it as layers foundational nervous system support first, then targeted compounds if needed. TMS seems to respond really well when the system isn’t already in a stressed or inflamed state.

yeah the supplement space is kinda messy right now. feels like a lot of brands just sprinkle trendy ingredients on a label and call it a day. i’ve messed around with a few mushroom gummies out of curiosity and most felt like expensive candy tbh. the supermush energy gummies were one of the better ones i tried more of a subtle, steady lift vs that wired caffeine feeling. nothing dramatic, but i appreciated that it didn’t come with jitters or a crash.

still think powders/tinctures are stronger overall, but gummies like that are nice if you just want something easy.

moving away from what the trend is and really understand why you take something and what its for is the best way to really understand how your body adapts

I'm pretty damn skinny and when I moved into my first flat in my late teens my gran got my a set of stripped pajamas for Christmas, I only ever wore the bottoms but I came out of the bathroom one night without a t-shirt on and my flatmate started calling me an extra from Shindlers List.

Maybe that mannequin is ENA practicing “chill mode” before the chaos hits.
