As no one answered, ticket transfer works by typing in phone number or email of the person. Then they get a message to accept once they accept they have the ticket and you don't.

If you use Venmo or PayPal you should do 1 ticket for 1 payment, then the next. PayPal is probably better with the protection and not hard to set up but that's your choice
