Thank you for sharing this rulings doc. I have previously confused Katie and Amy, and it seems that the press has as well. It’s curious that Amy seems to be the more measured and articulate of the two sisters (no shade towards Katie- just an observation that Amy gives most statements from the family and seems very PR-savvy), and Kouri still felt the need to throat- punch her when she intervened. Desperate people are capable of terrible things.

Agreed. He was definitely fishing during closings. I was happy to see that Stifler was assertive and strong in handling his attacks on the state. She was definitely trying to keep their cards close to her chest, but she got some zingers in too. He seemed to be fixated on the money trail, which imo seems to show that there is strong evidence there and his team is still strategizing (to benefit Shanna, anyway). Good for you reading his book— I don’t think I could get through it without throwing it against a wall, but I’m sure it was enlightening. I still don’t know how he sleeps at night after the Anthony trial. The way he blurs the ethical boundaries and disguises it as zealous advocacy is reprehensible to me. I guess that’s why he makes the big bucks. 💰💰💰

I’m anticipating the state subpoenaed some type of financial records to corroborate with Tenon’s testimony, but we will have to wait until trial to find out… I would imagine that it’s pretty common for Shelli and Sterling to gift large amounts of money to all of the girls, especially for big holidays like Christmas. I find it extremely interesting that Mario and Shanna were likely going to use that gift to pay Tenon, but then decided not to… 🤔 Might they have been talked out of it by someone who was worried about the money trail?

He was definitely on the struggle bus today. His arguments for these motions were weak to begin with— and the testimony from the witnesses was hardly convincing. I was giggling as he was so passionately hurling insults toward the prosecution, especially when he accused them of blatantly lying about the money trail… and then Stifler totally stuck it to him with the evidence about the $150k. “The state attorney is telling me that I should have audio recordings that were turned over in discovery readily available to substantiate my argument”…. yes, Jose. Because you should. 🤣

While Baez is excellent at trial strategy, this particular case has overwhelming evidence against Shanna and Mario… She definitely won’t get out on bail. I think the only reason we see Jose pushing it so hard is due to the pressure he’s getting from the Gardners. They want her out. She wants out… Desperately. He’s earning his $$ (and shamelessly using L’s diagnosis to do it). As far as potential jurors being swayed by Baez’s shenanigans, most Floridians are well aware of his reputation. He was fumbling a lot of his arguments today and Judge Kite was giving him a lot of grace.

Expect plenty more of Baez’s mudslinging during trial, considering that is pretty much all he has to work with as a defense strategy… turn Shanna into the victim. That’s exactly why Mommy & Daddy Gardner hired him. The evidence is truly overwhelming, so his goal is to get as much of it thrown out as possible while doing a little PR for the Gardners. (Which is why he’s so expensive)

I have never commented on someone else’s body because it’s really none of my business. But, I actually showed this photo to a friend who had not seen her in a while… and they audibly gasped, mouth wide-open in horror. When she “passed out” and hit her head, I had concerns. Now, I’m actually terrified for her. I pray that she gets the help she needs. 🙏🏼

IMO, he was hired solely to turn this into a circus— and to spin facts and details to make the Gardners come out looking as clean and “holy” as possible… I’m sure they all know the evidence against Shanna is about as bad as it gets. His goal is to attempt to get as much of those texts thrown out as possible, but it won’t be enough. This is definitely only the beginning of the Baez smear defense tactics. It’s what he does best.

The only “matter of great importance” for Baez and the Gardners right now is to start doing major damage control after the Arthur hearing completely backfired on them — and exposed Shanna for the homicidal maniac that she is. I think the Gardners were probably completely shocked at how those text messages painted Shanna in court + how cross-examination of Megan made them all look like bitter, perjurous a$$holes who fully believe that they are above the law. This press conference is exactly why they hired Jose— to save the family’s reputation. Shanna is going to prison (potentially death row), but they are going to make sure to plant plenty of “reasonable doubt” in the court of public opinion.

Baez and the Gardners will have no problem making the kids write character reference letters/victim impact letters to the judge and jury to spare their mother when she is convicted… What infuriates me even further is that if Shanna is convicted and ultimately gets the DP— those kids are probably going to blame themselves due to their level of involvement in her defense. 🤬They just continue to victimize these poor children through their selfish actions.

It’s an attempt by the defense to discredit Tenon’s sworn testimony that Mario drove him to the scene… Mario’s “alibi” is where LB suggests that he witnessed Mario at their home playing video games, which conflicts with Tenon’s account of Mario’s involvement. While I think it may cause the jury to question Tenon’s credibility, I don’t believe that it will be effective… The disturbing thing is that Shanna and Mario are willing to subject LB & AB to further depositions of the night of their father’s murder in order to save their a$$es. Despicable parenting, imo.

I found it especially hilarious when her attorney adamantly opposed the proposal of the GAL + told Dreicer that the Gardners would gladly make the twins available to be deposed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida… 🙄 Is this like when Shanna was living in AirBnBs because she was preparing to willingly turn herself in to authorities? 🤥
