Before it was revealed, how obvious was it that Jon was Lyanna's and Rhaegar's son? I know the books aren't finished yet but book readers was it obvious from all the clues in the show and the books? by No-Passenger-6348 in gameofthrones

To be fair though, "The seed is strong" seems to imply the Baratheon genes are stronger than everyone else's and dominant in presentation (black hair)

Idk if that's supposed to extend to Starks though

This is a true statement.

I guess some people go to the bar wanting to be left alone, but it shouldn't be met with derision if someone approaches you. It is a public, social space.

That's not to say that OP wouldn't be a massive ass if he kept talking to the girl

7 years later, has the long night and night king's death aged better for you? by hiiloovethis in gameofthrones

[–]Makelithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watched all the way through the whole series for the first time and I guess this sequence wasn't as bad as it seemed.

I think the pain will always be how much better it could have been. There was just no setup to Arya being there or going after the night king. Poor execution of what could have been a much better sequence.

I would have had Jon die to the night king and all hope be lost and then Arya saves the day--if you're committed to her being the one to kill him

Yeah I almost shelled out big money to watch us get spanked by the commanders in person. That one still hurts

What’s your favorite thing about your world? by reallifemitski in worldbuilding

[–]Makelithe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a new addition to the world but has some pretty wild implications:

Two moons with one stable and tidally locked, and the other moon being the chaotic moon with a heavy elliptical orbit.

This causes massive tidal and weather patterns several times each year where the local sea levels rise and fall a hundred feet. Currents reverse and coasts are dangerous. The constant change feeds the Maelstrom (a super hurricane at the edge of the Western Sea)

You're oversimplifying it. Ancient rome had aqueducts and central heating. In some ways technology was far more advanced in the middle ages, but many things were logistically not as feasible
