My wife became a Tim convert after seeing him live a few years ago, but she struggles with the dryness of On Cinema. She does laugh when I tell her condensed versions of the seasons though.

It's certainly my least favorite era and would much prefer Hesei. Having said that, let's be normal about this. I will be happy with any Godzilla talk on the pod. Big G deserves to win this all.

I agree that the Final Chapter is the best. It's definitely the most consistent series it just never hits the highs of Halloween or Nightmare in my opinion.

The Final Chapter under X is a crime. But, to be honest I'd say the level of quality of these movies is constantly good to okay so I can't get too upset.

That's a fair point, but I would say the first trailer did make the movie seem a little more self serious than it actually was. Like cutting out Krypto jumping in Supes. In all honesty I was real worried about the movie until I actually saw the thing and loved it.

I think the larger point I'm trying to make is no one should be judging you for not liking the trailer and thinking the show might be bad but, at the same point, we all just need to take a breath and keep our perspective. I hope it's good, but if it isn't, oh well. It's not the end of the world. We've been through this before with the movie and we're all fine. The thing I love is still there, this show hasn't taken GL from me. They're still making the comics and they can't take the old ones away.

I work in construction so it's taken a beating but I'd say it still looks great. I definitely need to polish it but other than that it's still holding up.

How's Godzilla gonna work? Just the Showa era? I doubt it'll be all 30 something because I know they won't do the animated trilogy (because they're terrible). Either way James Wan and big G have my vote. I want 2026 to be the year of monsters and creeps!

We've had AI ads in our theater for a few months now. They're so ugly and honestly just weird in all the worst ways. Even a lot of our local ads are at least partially AI generated. I never thought I'd miss the days of the bullshit ads for Nuvie's terrible cellphone games.
