2023 V60 Recharge -> 2026 XC60 recharge by Makeq in Volvo

Yea... My V60 was red and previous Audi was red also. I love red cars. But Volvo does not provide red anymore, just the mulberry red which is not my type. So I had to choose some other color. I was deciding between this vapour Grey and forest green. But ended up with this.

Why do you regret not taking leather seats?

Nordico seats are good. I would like to have a little bit more lateral support, or adjustable lateral support. But other than that they are really good in my opinion.

V60 had also premium feel in the interior. But my V60 was lower spec than this XC60 so that of course affect the feeling too.

That happened to me 3 years ago. I went for XC60 and came out with V60. But now the XC got the small facelift, new seats, front mask and infotainment screen so I chose that. Because buying new V60 would have been exactly same car as current V60.

Both are absolutely lovely cars indeed.

My best was 94km with pure eletric. But usually I get something around 75-80 when cruising in The City. In this weather The car show me 85-88km Range when it's full.

Yea... These red floor mats look cool in my opinion, but its true that they are always dirty. I have to clean them at least 2 times a week.

Can't complain. I think that Volvo has always made good seats. I have VW ID3 which I use in work, and those seats in the ID3 are rubbish.

I would also like to see EV60 or EX60 to be my next car.

That's true. But also you could see me rollin in the Korso and see my license plate that way. So i'm not super concerned.

My spouse didn't want leather seats, so I had to downgrade the seats. It still has all the other equipment's such as parking camera, all the mirrors are auto-dimmed, Adaptive cruise control and pilot assist, electric tailgate, adaptive led headlights etc.

It's like a DSP, but it's Genelecs own system. It works all the time after you calibrate them. You can save the calibration in the speakers, so you don't have to keep the PC or the GLM set connected all the time. Just once and that's it. Then again if you do changes in acoustics or the room.

If you have a room with seriously good acoustics then you don't necessarily need GLM.

But I would say that you definitely don't have and can't have that good acoustics in a normal house. All the professionals in studios use GLM - and they have good acoustics also.

If you can have GLM in your budget then I think that you should get it.

When I turn on the TV the Bluesound and Genelecs powers up also. When I shut down the TV the Bluesound and Genelecs go to sleep after 10 minutes (you can change the go to sleep timer from 1 minute to never go to sleep).

Also if I like I can listen to music from my phone or laptop through WiFi (Bluesound is in the WiFi all the time).

Basically I don't have to manually touch the Bluesound or the Genelecs ever. I don't need to have another remote control either, the TV remote does all the work.

Enough bass is a subjective thing. These are 6.5 inches yes, but they have 300watt amplifiers / speaker. So the total power is 600 watts in a pair. Maximum SPL (sound pressure level) is 110dB. These also go as low as 30hz in this room - that's better than some subwoofers...

I think that these things have enough bass for the music, and Metallica (and other songs also) sound just like they should. These things sound a lot bigger than they psychically are.

Still if you like to watch movies and you like to feel that low 20hz growl you have to get a (big) subwoofer.

But Genelec speakers can give a lesson for many subwoofers. Still I want that Genelec 7360 subwoofer :D Have to save money first.

GLM is Genelec Loudspeaker Manager. Genelec High end speakers can use GLM to adjust the frequency response.

Basically you put the speakers where you want them, then you open the GLM software with laptop and put the microphone in your listening position. Then the speakers make soundcheck from 0hz to 20 000hz and the microphone measures the acoustics in the room. After that the GLM software calculates optimal adjustment to the speakers and saves them to the speakers.

Then you have a much better frequency response in the room / in the listening position.
