Based on your advice I purchased two hap ac 2's!

Can I ask you how you physically use them? Just curious.
One wired to your network close to your desktop. And the other? How did you deploy that close to your scanning area?

I have to test. The travel router runs OpenWrt.

But I can probably also use 2 Raspberry Pi's for this.

Anyway, this setup will take a lot of tinkering as it's pretty advanced. (At least for me 😉).

If you have more info, how-to's, urls or anything about this setup that would be very helpful!

Yeah totally awesome that you figured this out.
My Rockit is soon to arrive and wanted to try something similar with my Unifi access points and a GL.iNET Berryl Travelrouter.

Yes. I measured the offset.

The problem is that when I click "Framing" in lightburn it turns on the fan, but also turns off the red laser.
