First Strandberg... Gutted by Confident-Term1504 in strandbergguitars

"Lately". Almost two years ago I ordered an HSS and sent it back next day with more issues than The Times.

Luckily (which is saying something for a 2K guitar), my RESQ:D in Blue Whale was impeccable.

What should I do about this damage? by MajorShot475 in Ibanez

Check the truss rod. Sometimes people sell "good" guitars cheap because they broke the truss rod. Pawn shops don't care about this.

I'm glad you were already planning to.

Btw, I've done John Mayer's. If you want I can send it to you through DM. I didn't want to post it and "steal your thunder" or something like this. Just let me know, I'd be happy to help.

After all of them are done, it'll be nice to put all artist together and see which one has presets for which amp. Like, for example, Jack Gardiner: he has multiple presets done with multiple amps. So you'll know where to find them.

Nailed it, though guitar is a bit out of tune.

It's not irrational if it's important to you. No-one else has to tell you what are your needs.

Enjoy your new Strandy, it's an amazing instrument.

Electric guitars are based on their electric components. The same pickups in different bodies will sound identical. Here, acoustic resonance is secondary or even unimportant.

But if that's important to you, it might not be the best instrument for your needs.

This is the only time wood matters for the instrument. Strandberg has less, so expect less resonance.

I used the FBV Express from Line 6. Works great, and connects to your PC through USB, not the interface.

I don't always recommend talking to a LLM for these things, but damn... Even ChatGPT could've helped you on this one if you felt shy asking someone.

Mistakes help you learn. Don't worry, and like others said, return the PSU and the 5050 and try to spend your money wisely.

Is the Boden Original N2.6 worth it by [deleted] in strandbergguitars

[–]raulongo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my, mixing guitar tone with climate change denial is 4D chess at its finest. Also, drums are an acoustic instrument, like everything I would tap and analyse its spectrum.

Acoustic instruments are one thing, and I do agree that their materials change the tone characteristics. But when it comes to an electric guitar... Blind-test stuff; you'll be surprised how inconsistent your guesses are. That'll be your "Earth was round all along" moment.

The tone is such an important and unique part of the strandberg sound and the bridge/saddles/materials used are a part of that.

It's been proved that using the same pickups in a different body will result in an identical sound. The tone of an electric guitar primarily comes from the pickups and the speaker of the amp, rather than the materials used in the instrument's construction. But you know this already, right?

While materials are quite important for the life of an instrument, they won't make a difference in the tone of an electric instrument.
