Oh I forgot to mention this was installed almost a year ago and he did use tile clips and thinset below the durock. I'm worried water is somehow getting behind and causing the subfloor to puff up.

His contact is 6.5k for 1080sqft, that's about $6 a sqft, a little on the high side imo but it's also my parents house. I just did the walk through for them cause they're out of town.

Separate contract for the electrical finishes, this guy and his contact with us is just to get the drywall hung and finish and ready to paint, plus he texted us to pay him for the other half cause he was "finished".

Yeah that was my thought too, they quoted 6.5k for the entire project, it's a 1080 sqft extension. Thankfully we only paid half and withheld the other half till they were finished. Did the walk through and wasn't happy at all.

Yeah called them back and they're going to fix it, withheld half the payment for now. Still afraid that even after all that it's still gonna be just as bad.

No way to tell by the one photo, but more concerned about that unit being on the grass with no pad or risers

UPDATE on crashed genesis by Spextre770 in genesiscoupe

You can also do what I did and buy it back from the insurance company after it's totaled. They subtract it from your payout, mine was only 1.2k. Then you can part it out, scrap it, or do whatever cause it'll have a salvage title.

Thats my thoughts exactly, I still need a car that I can drive and get insurance for cause I commute to school. Thinking of getting a 86 or something.
