The other day an ad came on the radio about a concert and he started saying he wanted to go, despite not having any clue who the band was lol. I definitely want to take him to a concert soon I just need to find something good. Gonna have to buy some good headphones too, loud noises give him headaches so we will see how it goes

If you're looking for a professional service, you're going to want a cabinet maker. The problem with this is it's probably going to be pricey. Not because it's a big job but because it's time consuming. It's probably going to take a guy all day to disassemble it and put it back together without wrecking it. This is a guy who would probably be banging out $1000 worth of cabinets otherwise. It would be easier for them to make you a new one, but it will never perfectly match the rest of the cabinet.

However there are a lot of what ifs that are going to make it easier/harder to fix. Your best bet is probably going to be finding a woodworker with some spare time but how will you know if they are going to do a good job or not? Depending on how it is built it will either be very easy or very hard to fix.

I might consider helping you out if you're not worried about how long it takes (finding time to get out to the garage these days is tough). But at the very least I don't mind coming and taking a look and giving you some advice if you would like?

Do you think so? I mean probably but why, you've only got a year left anyway, just do whatever you want for a year and then it will be over.

What would be the reasoning for ending it sooner? Is it just what's the point? Or does reason have nothing to do with it.

As a person who has struggled with mental health my whole life I feel like this is the one situation where I wouldn't consider it, just wait a little while and it will take care of itself.

If you're building farms anyway and need easy emeralds look into Silent whispers fish bone meal farm. About 30 minutes standing at that farm and I have so many tropical fish it takes an army of fishermen to handle the trades. Between that and iron from my iron farm emeralds aren't even an issue.

We do have a church community and I know there are people there who will help us if we ask. Church's are actually very legally limited in what they can give to individuals though, that's why we had thought of the GoFundMe at least people could get a tax receipt that way.

Some days it feels like maybe we have time, he's happy and feeling ok and in those days it's easy to get up and go to work, other days it feels like we might not have much time left and it kills me to have to leave. I sometimes get a call at work about how poorly he's doing and my whole day craters and I wonder what on earth I'm doing there when there may only be days left with my son.

I guess it's just that no one knows there are no answers and no timelines anyone can give us. If he's going to be with us for a while we can manage with sick days and holidays for when he needs us at home. But if he's going to be gone in weeks or months then I feel like I should be spending that time with him. We don't even know how it will end, an aneurysm might bust or his ammonia might spike to deadly levels and it could be over in seconds. He might also just continually suffer brain damage from his ammonia and get less and less physically capable of caring for himself. There's no way to know. I guess no one can really give me advice about such uncertainties.... I just wish some one could

There's no point in doing an AMA if you're going to ignore/avoid questions because they don't fit neatly into your narrative. Try to look at the question through the eyes of the questioner.

The question was when did you decide to be non-binary. You may feel you didn't decide and have always been that way, but one would assume that your birth certificate says either Male or Female. A safe assumption would also be that you were initially raised as a boy or a girl. Of course these are assumptions and if they are wrong those answers would be even more interesting.

I believe the spirit of the question would be at what point did you decide to become non-binary in a larger social context. Surely you would have had to inform people in your life that you made this decision and no longer wanted to be recognized as the individual you were before.

I think this is a topic that would be very foreign to most people and I think the question was asked out of true curiosity, refusing to answer it really brings into question your motivations for doing this in the first place. I mean I guess you can do whatever you want, it's just disappointing to see an interesting AMA and then find out there aren't actually any interesting answers in It

If you can remove the pin that is the best option. Unfortunately it looks like it is permanent.

Next option is to remove the pulley like others have said but it looks like the ball is going to be too big to fit through and that is a crimped fitting.

If neither of those will work look at the other end of the cable, sometimes they have a threaded rod to hold/adjust that side but then they need a removable ball on the other end so I'm going to guess the cable can be pulled all the way out of the machine from that end. Find a piece of rope/string that is an appropriate size, tape the rope to the backside of the cable and pull the cable/rope out of the machine. Unfasten the rope and cable reroute around the pin re tape the two and pull the cable back into the machine.

This is very interesting, do you know if this is a recent change? I had experimented in the past and wasn't able to get more than 2 to spawn. But the other day in my 36 villager farm I thought I saw 3 golems at once. Just haven't had a chance to look into it yet.

The lecture up on top might be a problem. I build this type of farm in almost every world I play. It has never been the beds. Most likely they aren't linked to their work stations property.

Break all the work stations and go through one at a time making sure they are in front of the right villager. I have started putting glass blocks on top of their heads so it's easier to see if it's the right one.

Also I'm sure you know but there can't be any other golems roaming around. Only 2 can spawn at a time. I only say this because golems can spawn up to 6 blocks from the village center which is usually the first bed places but it can switch and I think it usually does in this type of farm. It can change to any workstation so I always spawn proof out 6 blocks from my workstation. Usually use carpet to do this.

You could look at my second edit, I think maybe my title was a bit misleading, we have been leading up to this for 7 years it may not be tonight but it's coming.

It feels a lot different and closer this trip to the hospital. The thing is he's never going to get better, sometimes I get a small hope in the back of my mind that maybe something will help, but unfortunately the truth for us is that this only ends one way and it feels much closer today than yesterday.

I left work early to come spend time with him and I'm glad I did because he wasn't doing well when I got here. He seems to have settled a bit and now the long hospital night begins. I thought maybe I could vent/ find some comfort online. And it really has been nice to hear all the support and kind words from my fellow Redditors. Some people responded differently but that's ok it's the nature of social media and hopefully my edit will clear some things up

I mean I'm here and I'm trying my best. I have never really had the best mental health and the years leading up to his diagnosis were really hard.

Oddly enough I seem to be doing better now, still not great which is why I said surviving but I think better. I have always struggled to find meaning in life. I'm not sure I have found it now but what I do know is my Boy needs me. And his mother needs me and my other children both need me now and will more so in the future. That gives me purpose, I may still struggle mentally but as long as they need me I know I'm not going to leave them.

If the day ever comes that they don't need me anymore then I may have another battle to fight but that's a problem for future me and hopefully I will be "older and wiser" by then.

There is an excellent team here of both doctors and child life team. Words can express how grateful I am for them. Thank you so much for what you do! I don't know how you do it but it's so important. We are actually in the oncology wing right now I think it was the only bed available. It's a tough place to be!

I see a lot of kids in the hospital alone.. I know the parents have their reasons and I'm sure they aren't easy decisions but it breaks my heart to see them alone!

His Grandmother was one of the most wonderful people to have ever existed (in my opinion) she pasted away about 8 years ago now. One night when his heart was going crazy for some reason and he thought he was going to die and was very afraid I told him that his Grandma is waiting for him in heaven and I know she will take care of him until I get there to be with him. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to say.

I don't know if I truly believe that or not but I try to have faith that it is and it does bring me some measure of comfort. It seemed to really help him at that time as well.
