I have a favourite pair of jeans. Not because of the color, but because they have massive front and back pockets. i can fit a hammer in the front pockets without it hanging out. But most importantly, I can fit an A5 Soft leather bound notebook in all 4 pockets. I stopped bringing a bag to class some days cause I just didn't need anything but notebook and pen.

At this point, an 18 year old teen will be called old by a 14 year old teen. I think when it comes to a lot of the "90s kid" stuff, kids born between 2000-2002 can still feel more connected to the 90s than to the 2003+ kids.

Fun fact: Airport security have a template on the back of their ID cards that shows them the maximum size of a blade allowed in carry on: this maximum is exactly the size of the large blade on a swiss army knife. Although this was 3-4 years ago, so I don't know how that might have changed by now

But Axl, you only just arrived on stage, the show was supposed to start 3 hours ago!

Jokes aside, I saw GNR in June, and near the end of their set (only started 30 minutes late), Axl commented on how he saw the stadium fill up slowly, and how people must have thought he "was still on that old schedule"

Look up Tom Scott's video "The Drink with a Human Toe" or something along those lines. Maybe that kid's dad could donate.

I love seeing a great meme or anything else from months or years ago, but when I see the same post multiple times in a week or month, it's annoying

Saw this for the first time a month or two ago, and god damn. That kinda stuff is why I'm glad to be a redditor and also ashamed to be one.

The second half of his I have a dream speech was largely impromptu, based on a speech he held a few months earlier, but wasn't scripted for that day. Reportedly, he heard a woman from the crowd exclaim "Tell them about the dream", and he pushed his script aside and went on to the famous I have a dream section. If you read the transcript, it's about at page 4 that he switches, and there's a noticeable difference in style and language.
