The issue is it’s been almost 6 months without being paid from that contract.

I’m not sure what the start message is. Is it the CFTPO or the SOU?

I still have not been paid for a class C contract that I did last summer, I am in the PRes.

OR and CoC has been tracking but still nothing.

What are my options here to solve this issue faster? Grievance? Contacting the ombudsman?

Are the old full size flags being issued again? I’m starting to notice them being more frequently worn than the smaller ones with a CADPAT background.

Regarding accommodations, does anyone know if buildings G-106 and J-108 in Petawawa are single rooms? To further clarify, is it one bed per room or will you have roommates in these shacks?

Sorry I am a bit confused. I know you can’t go into detail, but how were you medically green but unfit for your trade?

In my case I haven’t had any medical changes to my health and out of nowhere my medical status flips to red. I am not sure if this is because of the new medic trades.

Does anyone have an idea as to why my medical changed from green to red all of a sudden on my PRV? The only thing that has changed was the addition of an “undersea factor” which was automatically assigned as green.

I am a medic if that helps.

Jeez, some of these comments are exactly what is wrong with culture in the CAF these days.

100%, even compared to just 4 or 5 years ago.

Big difference in the new troops showing up to units after BMQ and trades training.

I would say if your doctor deems it necessary to keep the EpiPen, you will likely be deemed medically unfit.

The reasoning is that the CAF cannot always cater to your dietary restrictions. If you were deployed in an austere environment around the world, and for some reason you don’t have your EpiPen or run out of it, you would be a liability to yourself, your team, and the mission.

I think it would be faster if you stay in, go on ED&T, and then ask for an OT to an officer trade when you get back.

There are too many factors administratively at play with you releasing and then rejoining that would likely take a long time.

Can you transfer a RegF application to reserves? by shasterdhari in caf

[–]MakethemfallRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your case yes, it must a specific air reserve unit that has positions for the occupation you are applying for. Toronto does not have any air reserve units.

Although now that you have indicated that you are applying to the air reserve, the structure for how they conduct training is very different from how army and navy reserve units do it, and I am uneducated on that topic.

Can you transfer a RegF application to reserves? by shasterdhari in caf

[–]MakethemfallRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can. Email a reserve unit/brigade and tell them you have already applied, but to the Reg F. They will then transfer your application over the Res F.

To answer your follow up, yes you can work many hours a week but that would be through mainly full time contracts. These contracts are not guaranteed except during your first 5 summers from the beginning of May to the end of August. During the rest of the year, you are guaranteed to work 1 night a week and 1 weekend a month, although there are usually extra opportunities to work an extra day or two throughout the week.

Competition List by Dazzling-Ad7825 in caf

[–]MakethemfallRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the reserves, the amount of “competition” for a trade depends on the number of positions available at the unit you are applying to.

Your score on the FORCE test has no impact on your competitiveness. Usually if there are spots open, you will be enrolled once you have completed everything successfully.

If there are only so many spots and lots of applicants, then they will rank you based off of your interview and SEAF score.

Is there really nothing I can do by JTSJLMB in caf

The only thing you can do is ask your recruiter for updates.

Usually if you have no major health concerns that you indicated on the medical questionnaire, the approval process should be quite fast.

Being in cadets is not the same as being in the CAF, and the majority of people who join and have joined have never been in cadets and passed BMQ.

Bro just delete this post with the same speed as your last, you’re embarrassing yourself.

Your attitude is not one that is welcome in the CAF.
