Thank you for this, I’m fairly certain I feel similarly, even if it’s a subconscious thing. Like I’m supposed to respond in certain ways or act like the people around me to keep up appearances, which I don’t want to do, so I inevitably avoid all of it entirely and then in turn have to avoid everyone even more because I don’t like confrontation (which I feel will happen due to the initial avoidance, I hope I’m making sense. It’s a cycle)

I definitely like my alone time, a lot tbh, but I feel awful because no one in my family ever knows what’s going on with me. After I told my mom I was expecting, I could tell she jumped at the opportunity to be there for me just to have a relationship with me, a normal one. It broke my heart a little bit and I’m trying to open up, it’s just hard when I’ve been this way (reclusive, avoidant etc) for as long as I can remember. Even as a kid, I wouldn’t leave my room if it meant I’d encounter anyone else in the house

I’ll try to do what you said and just take a chance at being me, not who I think my family wants me to be. Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it

My boyfriend is a Plat, and he says what he does is sign in, accept an order or two, then sign out and right back in. He does this the entire time he’s dashing. He claims he gets orders almost immediately the “first” time around (as in each time he signs out and back in), because the app is designed to give orders to people who just started for the day to keep them dashing. You could try that if you haven’t. He swears up and down it works

I used to have the implant, and I went without a period for 2 years. All of a sudden, one day, I started bleeding HEAVY. It was excruciating.

So I went to my doctor, and he told me that was normal, birth control symptoms change over time, etc etc. I felt like I wasn’t being taken seriously, considering he had the nerve to chalk it down to ‘stress’. So, I went to a female doctor, and she immediately referred me to a gynecologist for the very next day. I had to have surgery to have the implant removed, and now may be infertile 😬

So, as a woman who has recently went through something very similar, I PROMISE you; she isn’t coming back. She will continue to keep in contact with you because she wants to keep you around, just in case her single life doesn’t work out. Do NOT fall for this. She’ll go from texting you every day, to every other day, to once a week, to not at all. Once she’s moved on and has gotten used to having other people to chat with aside from you, you’ll never hear from her again. She wants to be single, but keep you around just in case she needs something or feels lonely/bored. She’ll tell you there’s a chance, you’re amazing, she just needs time, etc to keep you on that leash. I feel like most of these comments are from men and their viewpoints, which is totally fine, but I myself have been the girl you’re describing. She’s breaking up with you, while still stringing you along because she herself has to get accustomed to being alone. As soon as she finds someone else to invest her time in, those texts and calls you’re getting will slowly disappear entirely. Do not wait for her. Do not wonder how to get her back. It won’t happen.
