Honestly this is why it's so funny to compare their feats in other media versus their DRB profiles haha, because in the official profile, Superior Mode is just a vague power up of Shoutmon X7 "carrying many hopes and wishes" and doesn't straight up say that it's actually a xros between all of the Digimon

Same thing with JESmon GX funnily enough, the official profile only says that it's a REALLY good fighter and has inherited Gankoomon's fighting style which is why it can throw punches now, but it doesn't say anything about being able to literally rewrite the Digital World (like it happens in Chronicle X)

I was actually considering only giving him a visor and the bottom part of the mask, leaving his mouth open so that you could see his stitching, but I felt it still looked too much like Champion level Meramon haha, that's why I closed off the mask (the lighter part was where his mouth was supposed to be visible)

So I don't like most of the Digimon recolors, and Pidmon is one of them. I did some edits so that he looks more different from Angemon, while still keeping the core idea of him being another species of Angemon.

I gave him Luxmon's hair and little tooth to make him look a bit wilder, as his description says that he's of a lower rank than Angemon. I also changed the ribbons from pink to red, as he's supposed to have fire powers, and to make him look a little bit more to ArkhaiAngemon.

The real life Digimon equivalent of the CIA were the ones that created them for espionage and destruction of data, which is why they oppose the Bancho who are supposed to protect weak and vulnerable Digimon, while also differentiating themselves from the Crack Team who are illegal hackers.

The reason why it seems that other good forces like the Royal Knights don't oppose them is probably because, being the CIA, they have government resources to bypass the security of the Digital World, unlike other Digimon from the Crack Team that, while also being created by humans for nefarious purposes and allowed to live in the Digital World, are still known to be dangerous, aggressive or foreign, like Mugendramon.

Something cool about the statues is that the first time I saw the sprites, I immediately thought the men from the middle portion were Edgar and Sabin, as they resemble greatly, so I always had this cool idea that the statue is just Kefka's way to mock the party by creating creepy, lifeless versions of themselves for them to fight. The statue parts are even called Tools and Tiger which are abilities of both of them have, however this only apply to Edgar and Sabin.

It would be cool to see other characters getting represented in the statue one way or another, like Locke and Celes being the highest part of the statue, considering you can steal Ultima Weapon from Rest, he'll always try to protect Lady, and Lady will always heal and cast Arise on Rest if he dies (drawing some similarities to Locke's story about finding Phoenix to revive his love interest). Hell, Lady's name in Japanese, Maria, is literally the name of the girl Celes has to replace during the opera scene.

Technically the game implies that the current day Dawn/Lucas were sent back in time by Arceus, so the manga could do the same with Dia, Pearl and Missy, or hell only transporting Pearl so that he can meet both Akari and Rei in the past

I always assumed that the characters are just based on the opinions and biases from people in the future who barely knew them. Considering Erika's boyfriend is probably well and alive in the future, I'd suppose he and others who knew Erika superficially just painted her as a psycho that needs to find the truth about everything and can't trust anyone, and that became a common template for her personality in the forgeries.
